It wasn't even that bad an outing honestly.

 

Yeah. 10 hits and 4 runs in 4 2/3 is not total crap.

 

The team was still in the game when he left.

well considering what we have seen in recent years, at least it wasn't the typical 7 run rule call.

Usually he'll give up at least 7 with those numbers (thanks to Farrell's 7-run rule)

This is why is so important do not give up 5+ R per game. Even a underperforming offense like this can comeback.

 

Finally, 3 wins in a row. a700's mojo at the ballgame.

So how's this for a story. I leave to go to baseball practice, my first one of the year, at long last, and it's 4-0 A's, and Buchholz was on his way out. I leave practice, get back into the car, and Castillo homers. Bang. Then the onslaught starts. Somewhat miraculous, I'd say.

I'm developing a man crush on him very, very quickly.

 

Most of us were at least scratching our heads over the Sox grabbing him. I admit that I knew almost nothing about him even though I have seen at least several games where he faced the Sox.

 

He has done nothing but make plays and hit since he was acquired.

 

I say give credit where credit is due. To De Aza for making the most of his opportunity as the new guy and to Cherrington and staff for bringing him in.

 

Sometimes dumpster diving can be productive.

 

I look forward to seeing him play.
