You guys are getting slaughtered in this game thread......... I thought I would bring new blood and new sacrifice to the slaughter.....

 

E-Rod is new in town....... where a positive outing........ would be something positive.........which has been hard to come by for the Sox.......

 

Nick the under 2 era but can't strike anyone out Martinez will shoot for the Rangers.......... HEEE HAWWW!!!!!

I assume that the Dallas are is not under water like so much of Houston. I wonder if there will be rain there. I kind of hope so because the Sox need a blow.

 

A day off from baseball may do them some good.

I just don't get this move at all. They are speculating that Nava is a goner, but I don't see Peguera as a big upgrade. Also, I guess this means no Red Sox future for Allen Craig, except cashing big checks for a few years.

Allen Craig was sent to the minors and outrighted off the 40 man roster. They probably used Craig's last option to get him down there, so my guess is he will be there a while or until someone gets hurt.

they can option him again if he sucks. If he refuses, he has to give up his contract.

I don't get that. Nava may be done, but at least he has shown over the past few years that he is or was once capable of hitting. Peguero has proven with several years of very consistent performances that he is not. What's the point? Play Bradley. Play anyone.

As long as you have an option, I think you have it for the entire year, so they can shuttle him back and forth as much as they like, but they would have to add him back to the 40 man roster.
