He hit well in AAA and earned another shot thanks to injuries and under performance by the other OFers. I hope that he gets a few hits early on to boost his confidence. This is likely his last shot with us if he doesn't perform.

I think Nava will be the odd man out when Victorino gets activated. I also think Nava will clear waivers and accept an assignment to Pawtucket.

I'd say the rotation is still giving up too many hits but they are actually 14th. Add in the bullpen and they're tied for worst in the majors.

Giving up too many hits isn't a problem in and of itself. If you're walking the park and giving up XBH by the bunches, then you're in trouble. Guess what? That's exactly what the Red Sox have been doing.

It was nice to get a victory before going to the West Coast. Hopefully, the late nights and loss of sleep will be rewarded with some victories. Oakland has been sucking it too. They are rumored to be interested in trading Kazmir. It would be worth kicking the tires on him.
