I don't think that we will see a Laser show tonight but it sure would be nice to see some old Pedey production tonight and for the remainder of the season.

 

He sure has tailed off offensively.

Nuno may not be all that good looking but you don't pitch with your face, you do so with your arm, and the way we've hit this season every pitcher we face is a threat. Having said that, if Workman hasn't gotten too stale from inactivity we have a decent to good chance to prevail tonight so long as we get enough tallies on the board to cover for the two to four that Workman and Co. most likely will give up. I'd like to see our good hitters hitting in sync and two or three of them put a ball in the seats tonight. We are down 2-5 to the Yankees this season and that is totally unacceptable. It is time to stand our ground and give them a taste of their own medicine. So let's do it.

I've given up on caring who the starters are and whether they'll have a good night or not. So long as Miller and Mujica are in the picture, it's all for naught anyway.

Looking at some of Andrew Miller's stats, 14.52 k/9 (4th in Mlb), and a FIP of 1.45 (3rd in Mlb), he's having an incredible year.

 

The only stat that really counts is how many runners come across home plate.

I was just pointing out that he has been really impressive this year. The team has been terrible, but no reason not to point out some bright spots.

The league adjusted to him, he was hot in May. They don't give him many fastballs as they did.

 

Exactly. The league will always adjust to you, the question becomes, can you adjust to it. The league adjusted to him, and he hasn't been able to adjust back
