Someday soon, we will all miss the days of Tazawa and Uehara. As fans, we are lucky to have them carrying the bullpen on their shoulders.

Not as proud as those of us in the north are of William T. Sherman.

I'm a big Civil War buff and Sherman is my main man. He was the first of he modern generals who believed that to win a war you take it the civilian population and break their will to support the conflict. I'd say William T. did that part of his job superbly and as he said he was "going to make Georgia howl".

Jackie Bradley with RISP .295/.347/.432/.779

Jackie Bradley with no runners on .125/.259/.181/.439

Why not bat him cleanup? :)

That's a good point Palodios. He is the polar opposite of Bogaerts in that capacity. I noticed Jackie is going to the opposite field more the past few games and has looked good. Could it be that he might actually have found himself? I'll hold judgment for a few more games.

Is Fred still harping on the "Bogaerts in unclutch" s***? Really?

He just needs a few more games to make up his mind either way.

Tell your moron friend that Bogaerts got three hits last night with no NRISP but when he came up with two men on he struck out. This is not supposition, it's fact!!!!! He is hitting barely over 200 with RISP. Again that is fact. Your friend has a lot of trouble accepting things he doesn't like but are true, and his bitching and moaning about it doesn't make it any less true. Thank God I don't have to read his crap anymore except when one of you are quoting him.

Ask your pal mvp how Bogey has done tonight. First inning, no one on and he hits a double. In the third, with a runner on he pops up. Case closed. HE HAS TROUBLE HITTING WITH RUNNERS ON BASE.

Well it's close to four hours later and maybe a provisional mea culpa is in order. Bogaerts drove in a run with a hit and would have two RBI's has Johnson not made a terrific stop on a laser wide of third. Fortunately he threw low and the ball squirted away and Bradley scored. I was worried they might give him a fielder's choice since the runners were on first and second but it looked to me that Holt was safe at second and he raised his hands t hat way himself. Good!!! Bogey got a hit on that. I just hope this helps him become a run producer as well as one who hits for a good average which I think he should.
