All right, remember when I said that I wanted to make a GT if the Sox ever fell 10 games below .500? One more loss does it.

JBJ needs to anything to not suck as bad as he does. Hes awesome at defense but his bat is pathetic. I think some additions and subtractions need to be started in negotiations. The whole outfield this year has been s***. I think a trade for a power hitting outfielder is the trick along with another starting pitcher. And we just need to get healthy probably the most important of all is to get healthy. Vic, WMB, and Nap need to be back in the lineup and soon.

 

I think it's the time of the year to start thinking trades before this thing gets outta hand. I would go out and get two guys if a deal could be made. Cliff Lee and Matt Kemp would be the ones Id go after. I know that's a lot of payroll but I think this first part of the year has shown that basement shopping and giving guys a chance just don't work every time. I hope they do something soon.

 

Dupree, I see that you think the season is salvageable but I have given up the ghost. I think we need to rebuild and start as soon as possible. Get our best prospects in positions where they won't be competing against another good prospect while some positions are filled with stiffs like Bradley. That should start the rebuilding process and from there have some guys ready to step in in 2015 and 2016. As for Lee, he is too expensive for a team not going anywhere and Kemp has become a very bad CF according to scouts, the Dodger coaching staff and his manager. I would like to go with our prospects and build long term. I don't want to lose any of our best young players. Bogaerts seems to be coming around finally and looking good, I still have this minority opinion that Middlebrooks could still become a good power hitter for us even if it is in another position in the field, but Bradley is a sunk cost. Great defense, pathetic at the plate. Take his short stay with us last year, his miserable ST and what he is doing now and it is a big enough sample for even the biggest apologist on this board to see that this guy is not a ML hitter and will never be.

At this point it's so hard to tell. The sox signify starting slow, but this is absurd. With the season we had last year this is truely dissapointing. I hope we can turn things around but we look really bad.
