WTF was Napoli doing? Job was just to tie it at the minimum.

I guess he expected a slider after seeing six sliders.

Hey user it still doesnt take away the fact that he has been terrible.I see a chemistry issue as well.192 avg with risp.192!

He has been terrible, that is true. But what the hell does their poor hitting with RISP have to do with chemistry? They've been terrible because they've been terrible.

This team is going to struggle with growing pains and the infusion of new, young talent. They will compete because the division is not very good this year, but fans will just have to deal with the fact that this team's core is transitioning and it's going to be ugly at times.

I like the talent around the Diamond... but the pitching worries me, especially looking towards the future. In the previous "bridge" years we had the likes of Lester, Buchholz, Papelbon, and other talent that looked promising but just didn't pan out. I don't see it right now. I'm not saying it's not there, it just worries me a little.

Yup. Although it won't be like this all year, as Bogaerts and Bradley will begin to see the fruits of their labor showing up as the season progresses.

I wouldn't, however, be surprised at all to see the Sox go out and pick up a bat for LF and get a little more offense going and a bit more stability out there. Not sure if they'd go after a huge piece (i.e. Stanton), try to buy low on a guy with huge upside (i.e. Kemp), or go with more of a mid-level piece. But I certainly see them making a move and not letting the season get away from them.

That doesn't make any sense. The Sox have more high-upside pitching talent in the minors right now than they've had at any point during my time as a Red Sox fan.
