Buchholtz is a totally different pitcher with a lead. The bull pen's strongest performers are beginning to show the effects of the starters problems. They'll need the starters to do deep in games over the next few outings.

Also the Rogers Centre can play like a bandbox sometimes. This was the 5th game of a home stand for the Jays, and the scores have been 9-3, 10-8, 11-4, 8-1 and 7-6.

I'm surprised somebody didn't mention how bad Tazawa's numbers are against the Jays. It's a head-scratcher to say the least.

I look it up. It makes no sense. Maybe he should use his slider to give them something else they aren't expecting. But he also need to pick up his pace. It's Papelbon esque.

Very pleased with this win because for one of the first times this season, the Sox won after falling behind early, which they have been doing often. Great job of bailing out Buchholz as well.

Never pleasant playing Toronto, they are a tough opponent. Ugly win, but with a couple wins under they're belt it gives all sorts of confidence. Pretty good game from Clay today.
