Are people panicking because Uehara gave up a couple of base runners in a non-save situation? LOL!

 

Mine was all sarcasm because it's rare to even see him allow base runners lol.

He warmed up a long time in the 8th. Some other reliever could gotten up.

 

So you'd just completely waste a day for him? You realize bullpen sessions are almost the same wear and tear as an appearance?

I think all the kid needs is confidence at this level. Maybe he's getting it now. He and Sizemore are strong in the OF.

Size almost made a great catch on that ball over his head in CF. Amazing comeback if he keeps it up.

How is a spelling mistake by a fan on a homemade sign worse than a spelling mistake by a team employee who is paid specifically to get things like that correct? I mean, both misspellings are stupid, but one was by someone who could very well be a dumb hick and the other is by a professional.

SoxSport, I flew to Boston for the three game Home Opening Series and if what I saw is a precursor for the 2014 season we might be in deep s***. We looked flat as a board on Friday---and, yes, that might have been due to all the hoopla of the ceremony which was sensational. Unfortunately, the game was a dud. Sunday we looked like s*** warmed over....not fire, no sense of urgency and a half ass effort all around. Lots of two out hits.....unfortunately they all came with two outs. We're 3-5 so far so there is plenty of time to right the ship, but some of us did think they was this relaxed atmosphere in ST and it might be good to ask if maybe we weren't fully ready when the season started. We can rectify this unless one or two teams in our division go wild with a great run. Then we could be in deep s***. We need to go on a run ourselves----I think we miss Victorino and his spirit and drive more than we know and we will miss Middlebrooks more than we know too. The rest of the group has to get it together while there is still a lot of time--especially Papi and those two boobs who got their asses reamed today and on Saturday.
