We just won the division, making the Yankees our bitches in the process, and won the World Series without facing a single elimination game.

Don't you get it. We were able to do what we did last season because we had a stable of very good players to compliment with other lessor players. The Yankees have improved immensely, the Rays have improved and while the Jays and Orioles haven't they are not our main concerns....the Yankees and Rays are, and right now both are vastly improved over last season and we are incredibly weaker. We can laud Ben Cherington until the cows come home and we can't do it enough for what he brought us this season but that season is over and we have to look at what coming in 2014 and right now we are much weaker. We need a solid player to take Ells' place and that guy is Robby Cano. He would make up for the loss of Ellsbury because he is a better hitter with more power and he would f*** up the Yankees. I still have faith in Ben but he has to start moving and doing it tonight.

The Rays are vastly improved? They lost James Loney. They're probably going to lose David Price. They signed two catchers, but you know what? Neither of those guys had OPSes higher than .590. .590!! They have nice arms, but their bats make them not nearly as valuable as you'd like to think.
