Cabrera is certainly an interesting case but as far as Braun goes, I still consider him the 2011 NL MVP. He's certainly an ******* but he's an MVP ******* in my opinion.

Braun's apology was pretty silly (hint: if it is 944 words, you are doing it wrong). Definitely supported his appeal and the initial suspension being thrown out - the appeals process has to be there and work, and technicalities like that are important if it's your ass on the line. But if he's going to admit something, best to actually just be straightforward with it.

Braun's apology was pretty pathetic, he just released a statement written by his PR team, and at the same time used the excuse of "oh I only used it once to come back from an injury".

 

He should at least manned up and did it in front of a camera to show he was sincere and said something in his own words.

No way. Braun claimed a long time MLB was antisemitic and got him fired even though he knew he failed a test. He's basically Lance Armstrong-lite.

Some of these players (A-Fraud and Braun) have been babied their whole lives and think they can do as they please because they are above everything. The cheating is one thing, but to lie about it is what really sticks people the wrong way. Thus A-Fraud and Braun catch more of the heat.
