I think it's time for some fresh blood mojo!

7pm PST

Red Sox (73-53) Vs. Giants (55-68)

Today we have two potential pitching matchups:

http://i40.tinypic.com/2jcuddi.jpg

On one hand we have Jon Lester (10-7 4.31 ERA) who in his first start at AT&T park threw a complete game and will be looking to do the same today

Against former Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum (6-12 4.38 ERA)

On the other hand we could possibly get this:

and

Bogaerts hits his first major league homer tonight.

Let's get a win!!

After losing 7 of their last 10, I'm really hoping for a sweep in SF. The Dodgers are going to be the real challenge though.

Mike Axisa wrote an article today that the Yankees could still win the division.

lol.

Sorry big man. I know you won 6/8, and that's nice and all, but you played the Angels and had your 3 best pitchers go against the Red Sox 3 worst. At the very least, 2 of the 3 worst.

Laughable.

Anyway, this team turns it around tonight and goes on a huge huge run. They'll win 10 of their next 12 games.

I hate pac bell/at&t park/whateveritiscallednow and it's stupid glove in LF. I hope Ortiz hits some bombs into the bay that bean a few kayakers. The only good thing about it is the garlic fries. Also, San Fran fans are s***** and trash multimillion dollar buses after winning the WS. Screw them. Should have just torched SOMA and done the rest of the city a favor.

Unlikely, but not laughable IMO. They're only 6 back in the loss column with a month plus left and lots of AL East interdivision games.

Most of those are against the Sox, and if the Sox can play like they should be playing this year it's never gonna happen. If the sox play like they did yesterday and friday.. Then maybe they can do it.

Lot of toys out there in LF.

It's a great ballpark. It's just cold as hell there at night games. Check out what people are wearing in the stands. You'd swear it was for a football game in New England.

I've been to a night game around this time of year. Freezing.

Yup, SF has foggy nights and cool weather from April - September. Always have to dress in layers there.

Jon Shestakofsky @Shesta_Sox

At 20 years old, Xander Bogaerts is the 3rd-youngest active MLB player behind Bryce Harper and Jurickson Profar (both also 20).

Of course no XB tonight because as I said earlier XB is not here to support a tired Drew as was announced by the Sox. XB is here to support a Can't hit LH pitching Drew. Last I looked, TL pitches from the right side.

All kinds of s*** after last night's game. The idiot from the "Brick House" said that the Sox fans urged Demps on and implied that in some sense they were a part of Demps decision making process...be that as it may. The Sox fans had nothing to do with it.....and if that idiot thinks anything he heard or saw last night compares to both Yankee and Red Sox fan behavior from lets say the 70's when I was a Sox season ticket holder, he is dreaming. Both grounds crews used to have to pick up the D and C cell batteries fans from both camps would throw at the OFers depending on what park the game was played in. It got so bad that some of the outfielders started wearing batting helmets out there. I saw a fan throw a bear in the face of a player trying to make a play on a foul ball in one game. Yes the fan was tossed, probably charged but I can't remember that part.

The umps pulled a team off the field in one game and made the announcer threaten a forfeit if the stuff thrown from the stands did not stop. Actually the timing was pretty good for the announcement since there was so much stuff out there that the grounds crew had to do a general clean up.

There's only 9 people in the lineup that she posted. She's actually correct, because there is no point in posting a player twice.

Why is it that you always seem to be the one that makes me look stupid?

Posted
It's not making you look stupid, I think you just over analyze every post and get a little bit sensitive. I have no intentions of making you look bad, I just stated the reason for the lineup. All she does is copy and paste the lineups from a website and that's it.

You've been like that since I called you out on the game thread. I already told you that was a joke. I have no hate or anything towards you. I can name a million things better than embarrassing a 14 year old on the internet. Just take it easy man, after all it's just a message board.

It will be interesting to see how Jon goes after the SF hitters. These are guys that will only see him once this year and guys that are as NL hitters used to see wayyyyyyy fewer breaking balls than an AL pitchers throws. If he comes out and goes right after the hitters I think that will be a very good sign. If he comes out and dicks around...I give up. I don't know if he just can't see it or can't help himself. When he comes out and attacks he really does pretty well. When he comes out looking to hit the edge of the edge....and won't pitch inside it is only a matter of time.

I don't know. This isn't a good thing for a Sox fan to admit, but the Yankees like the boogeyman to me. In my tenure as a fan they've snuck back in it one too many times for my liking. 2005 anyone? I'll call them dead when they're dead.

Actually a better analogy would be that the Yankees are the cops. As in, once they show up in my rear view mirror I can't help but keep my eyes glued to them until I know they're gone.
