Okay, rain clears tomorrow morning. I'll bring my mojo blessed with BTR's mojo to form some at the game mojo. Wearing a blue Ellsbury shirt with a hat. Sitting down the right field line, near Pesky pole.

Wonder who the Red Sox will call up to be the 26th man tomorrow for the DH?

 

Rubby is scheduled to pitch for the PawSox tomorrow. I could see the Sox calling him up and putting him in the bullpen, only use him if they have to, and push back his start to Sunday.

 

The PawSox got rained out tonight too, so whoever was supposed to throw tonight can pitch for them tomorrow on regular rest, or, if that was RDLR, they could just push everyone back a day.

 

They also could give Rubby the start in the night cap and give the rotation an extra day.

Probably Lavarnway or Wilson. Having a third catcher for DH's is always a smart choice, and Wilson is probably the best reliever they have in AAA right now.

The Sox will pitch Felix Doubront and Clay Buchholz in the doubleheader. Ryan Dempster is set for Sunday. With no day off scheduled until June 17, the Red Sox will need an extra starter at some point and that will probably be Franklin Morales.

I'm pretty sure Rubby won't be starting a game for us any time soon. He's yet to pitch 5 innings in a start yet, still working his way back from Tommy John.

Triple A Pawtucket also was rained out Friday, so third baseman Will Middlebrooks and outfielder Shane Victorino had a day off in their rehab assignments.

 

Middlebrooks has played three games for Pawtucket, going 4 for 9 with two home runs and six RBIs. He will be with the PawSox for their series in Syracuse over the weekend.

 

Middlebrooks is recovered from the back injury that landed him on the disabled list but the Red Sox want him to show some offensive consistency before he is activated.

 

Victorino was 2 for 4 with a home run in his first rehab game Thursday. He will be at Fenway Park Saturday and could be activated for the second game against the Angels. Victorino has been out with hamstring and back injuries.

In response, he'll hit atleast 2 home runs in the series. Red Sox will still win.
