HAHAHA! Come home to that, I love it. Why would anyone walk someone to get to Ortiz with a potential walkoff?

Big papi with his speci-al-ity -- the Walk off HR . That was a laser beam. The crackhead stupid manager walked a batter in front of him. What an idiot!!!

Wash deserved that. I might be able to see walking Pedey if there were two outs and you had some idea that you knew how to get Ortiz out to end the inning. But nobody out...you walk Pedey and put the winning run that much closer to home plate! What the f*** was that? Was Wash planning on a triple play?

The walk didn't move the winning run closer to home. Gomes was still at second.

Quite a s***** reliever too from the stats. Chances of pedroia hitting a walk off is slim to a dangerous bat like Ortiz. Have the league look at Ortiz's vs LHP in the last few years?

By the way, did Gomes double before the Ortiz HR? Got back from trying to sneak the dogs out for a quick wiz and did not see what happened?

Ortiz is not just our best power hitter. He is our best hitter and he has been tearing the s*** out of lefties in recent years. Crackhead Washington should have pitched to Pedroia. If they get Pedroia, they put Papi on and go after the guys behind him. Intentionally walking a batter in front of Ortiz is just not a high percentage move. Washington is a terrible tactician. HE took an axe to game 6 of the WS in 2011 against the Cards and gave the Cards that game and the Championship.

Prediction: Johnny Gomes does something awesome, TalkSox site collapses for an hour. Red Sox beat Texas 4-3.

Gomes able to quiet the haters for one game. Awesome stuff!

The biggest mistake Washington made last night was not going to Nathan after Gones doubled. Pedey is hitting .380 against LHP this year. Having that jagoff pitch to the 3-4-5 guys with a runner on 2nd and no outs was a no win situation.

Looks like the Sox are almost certainly going to get rained out tonight.

Likely a day/night DH tomorrow, as this is the only trip the Angels make out here. Tomorrow it's supposed to stop raining at around 10 am, and be sunny starting at around 1.

...or you were mistaken....;):D

A good game doesn't excuse his atrocious season he has had so far. But I want to see him succeed and I am glad he had a great game last night.

His managing decisions are a big reason they haven't won a title.

Red Sox rained out; day/night doubleheader on Saturday

Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff June 7, 2013 12:54 PM

The Angels-Red Sox game tonight has been postponed by rain. The teams will play a day/night doubleheader on Saturday at Fenway Park.

The first game will be at 1:05 p.m. (NESN) with the second game at 7:15 p.m. (FOX). Tickets for tonight's game will be good for admission to the first game on Saturday.

The Sox will pitch Felix Doubront and Clay Buchholz in the doubleheader. Ryan Dempster is set for Sunday. With no day off scheduled until June 17, the Red Sox will need an extra starter at some point and that will probably be Franklin Morales.
