They're coming off a 9-run night and they're facing one of the best pitchers in the Majors. What did you expect?

 

Yeah I said this last night. This Lee isn't same starter the Sox beat up so badly he got sent down.

So 7 IP, 2 ER isn't solid? You may wanna temper your expectations a little then.

 

I just meant he finally gave up a run and is now in line for a loss.

On any day your local little league team hits better than this crap, Dempster did well. His decent performance made obsolete by a pathetic offensive performance. 1 game up and they relax....fail.

He wouldn't survived tonight facing a team like Texas. His control is still off.

 

Thankful we're not playing Texas. It was good he got to face an anemic line up.

If we weren't losing the game 2-1 right now I think everyone would be talking about how well Dempster did. Not great, but better than his last few starts which is a good sign. Baby steps.

 

It just so happens we're facing one of the best pitchers in the league, so giving up 2 runs is enough to still get the loss.

 

If every start for Dempster's contract was 7 innings 2 ER, I'd be ecstatic.

What the f*** are you talking about? It's Cliff Lee. He's been masterful, pounding the strike zone all night. Dude's one of the premier pitchers in the league.

I'd stick with Lee if I were the Phillies right now. Pitch count is more than manageable.

The next time you use the word 'fail', you're going to be kicked off of the site for three days. Nearly every post you make when the Sox are losing, or have lost, includes 'fail' as its' own sentence. This is not 4chan or Reddit or Twitter or whatever the hell else.
