I really do not understand it. He swung at that outside pitch that seemed like it was a foot outside. Then he almost struck out the next pitch in the same location. He needs to seriously look at some film to see how stupid he looks swinging out there.

Middlebrooks' pitch selection was awful there. Took 90 mph middle middle then swings at an I-don't-even-know-what 14 inches off the plate and checks his next swing at the next one in the same spot.

 

That was terrible.

 

Also I despise Nava hitting in the 6 slot vs LHP.

As of right now It is i'm not saying talent wise it's awful. but it is much worse than it was in April or at least it seems. I do expect them to all start clicking again at some point. Everyone has had their moments and has impressed at some point, The rate at which we strike out especially with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs is very alarming
