There are very few posters with whom I have not reached some form of accord. I ain't going away, so those who had the insane thought that they could chase me from here have long given up on that hope. Also, I am here all the time. It's exhausting to maintain the level of hatred that some directed toward me. LOL!! I think they might have realized that I am only talking baseball and not killing their mothers. My opinions about sports are blunt. I see no reason to hold back on a message board.

If you kept your discussion to baseball, I wouldn't have any issue with you whatsoever.

If you don't go down the non-baseball route, I will not either.

Not sure where else to put this but apparently Clay's visit with Dr. Andrews went well and he's now more willing to pitch with discomfort. It seems confirmed that there's no structural damage to Clay's shoulder

That's huge. Anyone who's ever tried to play through pain understands what a huge relief it is when a doctor you trust tells you there's no risk of further injuring yourself.

I don't have an issue with things you say to me. It's the constant flame wars you, iortiz and user name get in to with other posters which is the most irritating. Next time one of you guys considers engaging in a three page flame war, please consider that the 50 other posters here who come here to discuss baseball don't want to read that.

Dr. Andrews also reported that the source of Buch's discomfort is inactivity. He feels soreness because he is not pitching enough and when he does throw, his muscles are responding with soreness because of the inactivity. Inactivity in the middle of the season.....In other words...Buch did it to himself.....What a joke!
People have been jumping all over you for days on this issue, but this outcome is absurdly funny.

Who is going down the non-baseball path now? Enough already.

Why? Because Buch didn't trust the Red Sox medical staff? Would you? Last time they told him "nah brah it's cool, keep pitching" he had a broken back. People keep jumping on him because for all intents and purposes, Buchholz was right to question the Red Sox medical staff who initially misdiagnosed this problem too. It's not an issue of entitlement or Buchholz being a pussy. It's common sense, something that seems to be lacking more and more these days.

Typical a700, you're getting in to personal tangents with three different posters and blaming it on everyone but you.

I haven't read that anywhere. Could you please provide a source that says that or admit you made that part up?

I didn't assign blame did I? The outcome here is really absurd. The guy is getting sore from inactivity. It's a ridiculous thing to happen more than half way through the season.

More like beating a dead horse. I got his concerns from the get go. But the conspiracy theories about him being a hold over from the Beckett days and/or feeling entitled? No evidence of that. No need to get worked up over something we don't have a clue about at this point. It sucks considering how much we need Clay. Patience.

What other posters do i get into flame wars with SR?

I meant to say that it's usually you three getting in flame wars with each other. There are other posters such as myself, MVP or Virginia Sox Fan who will call out other posters on what they think is ******** and then will let it go after a few posts. 9 times out of 10 when there's a flame war, however, it's because you and iortiz are having a disagreemnt and a700 jumps in to "save the day" with personal insults about how you're making personal insults and then no one backs down.

You're not answering my question though. If you were Buch, and these people misdiagnosed a broken back and then misdiagnosed your initial problem, would you have done things differently than he did? It's an honest question trying to gain some perspective here.

More non=baseball BS. Cue the photos of crushed skulls any minute. You are really no one to throw even a pebble.

Just for curiosity, what do you think i should do different? The way i see it, i mainly stick to the topic at hand and i will attack the post and/or thought process behind it. Last night was a good example, because there's a difference between saying "That's a stupid thing to think/say" and "You're stupid".

I'd have seen Andrews much sooner rather than throw away this much of my season. That is what i would have done. Not trusting the medical team is one thing, but what the heck was he waiting for to see the guy he trusted?

Just agree to disagree. I'm not blaming you personally, but it does seem to be a strange dynamic between you three posters that results in the majority of flame wars.

He tried throwing before getting a second opinion. He felt sore. They told him to keep pitching and that it was just an inflamed trap. He felt sore in a different area, got shut down, then went to see Dr. Andrews. I would've tried throwing before going for the second opinion first as well, but we can agree to disagree as well.

You asked m what I would have done if I had a distrust for the medical staff. I would have taken matters into my own hands much sooner.

Hey, i just told what i would have done and said i agree to disagree. I respect your opinion on that, and think it'd have been an acceptable course of action.

A source told Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com that Brian Wilson (elbow) was "impressive" and looked "game ready" during a throwing session Monday.

Giants pitching coach Dave Righetti stood in the batter’s box as Wilson threw off a mound, while the team's bullpen catcher, Billy Hayes, caught the reliever. Though there was no radar gun in attendance, Baggarly's source estimated that Wilson topped out around 94 mph and had "terrific stuff." It appears that the Giants are legitimately interested in bringing their former closer back. Other teams will surely be in the hunt if he looks as good as the report claims. Jul 22 - 8:26 PM

If you follow the tweets, the Rangers deal for Garza was announced about 1 hr after the Andrews report on Buchholz was tweeted. It looks like the Cubs were waiting on the Buchholz situation, and the Red Sox decided to pass on Garza because of the Andrews report, saying Buchholz is OK to pitch.

It's clear the Red Sox should have had a 2nd opinion on him a month ago, and he might have been pitching by now. Hard to understand what the holdup was. As it is, they may wind up doing nothing on the starting pitching by the deadline. More likely, they will get another reliever. Whether they have enough starting pitching to win the division is questionable.

The team should have sent him to Andrews for the 2nd opinion. They are paying for it. Seems like a lot of their organizational problems are related to the medical staff.

I've tried to figure all that out since I came back on this board in late 2011. Some of the differences and conflicts between posters are just disagreements about how the Red Sox should be run and what should be done for make it better, but a little of it does seem to be personal. By that I mean that some posters just don't like to hear anything negative about the Red Sox written....PERIOD, and they rant and rail when someone like you or Sox Sport or Iortiz or Jung or someone else we all know does it. I think all of this crap would end if everyone would just realize we're all in this together, that we love and live and die with our team. We just proclaim our devotion for the team in different ways. And just for the record Ted, keep up your good work. I know I'm dealing with a knowledgeable baseball man when I read your missives, and, thank God, that you don't deal in ********.
