He's simply trying to accentuate the positive. There haven't been too many positives in this game especially with the pitching meltdown.

I need another beer......

I still give Webster another start. One bad start is noway to make any conclusion. Doubront is just s***.

No.

He needs to go to AAA and learn stuff.

When is Morales ready?

But this is really just a manifestation of Webster's youth....sort of unfair to him. He is not ready to be here. It really isn't more complicated than that. We do have to do something though...I totally agree with that. I just think we are kidding ourselves to think that Web is an answer at this stage of his career. If we are not careful we will ruin him in the process.

Sorta' highlights the other-worldlyness of this game

Mauer to Pressley" Look stupid, you could give up 5 one run Home runs here and we are still leading. Throw strikes."

Holy crap...do you guys not read the many articles I quote from the Globe???? ;)

• LHP Franklin Morales is scheduled to pitch for Double A Portland tonight. Morales has been on the disabled list all season because of a back injury suffered in spring training. He returned to pitch in a game for Single A Greenville April 17 and strained a pectoral muscle.

He hasn't even started rehab.

Either Webster or Satan,

Unless we score 10+ R every five day, We are in problems then...

Hopefully he's ready soon.

Ortiz seems to be cooling off a bit so far tonight.

Fixed. He's hit safely for 27 games straight. Hasn't missed a beat since coming off the DL. It can't last forever but there is plenty of time left in this game. Hope he keeps it going!! :)

So...... Can we just get rid of the 5 man rotation or...... What? This fourth spot has been terrible all year.

Felix is not even trying to throw many FB's tonight it seems...Does not want to throw it...I don't blame him. But you can't look at that and say he should be starting games going forward. He may end up being all they have but frankly I would expect him to get shelled throwing the way he has thrown.... the last couple of weeks especially.

I think we won't see Doubront for a while after tonight. They'll try to ride with Webster and promote De La Rosa or Satan to replace Doubront.

They may try a few different things but really they need a real deal ML starter. They won't be able to grab a stud at this point. At least I don't think so. However they will probably try to grab up somebody with ML experience and try to make a go of it. Anybody out of the system at this point is going to be a roll of a pair of dice that has ones on four of the six sides.

I would expect a number of efforts out of the system while they try to find somebody they can grab. I don't expect any of the efforts out of the system to pan out and be more than single start efforts. May bring back Ace and give that a shot. That is probably more likely than the other system options.

Ya definitely. Either way I have no confidence in this 4th role. It will be a heart attack every night. Our offense is playing just fine tonight and were still getting blown out.
