I wonder since we gave Victorino and Middlebrooks a day off if we should give Pedroia a day off soon. I think the Sox have only 1 off day in the entire month anyway. I think we can give Pedroia a day off, especially vs. a bad team.

Sometimes when Ortiz makes contact, I'm surprised he gets a hit instead of atomizing the ball and standing befuddled in a cloud of white mist.

Remember Pedro's untouchable curve? God it was heavenly.

Don't forget his changeup too. I felt like I was going to snap my wrist trying to replicate it when I was in high school.

I would bet that Farrell is trying to give Pedey a day off and he is probably balking. You would literally have to drag him kicking and screaming out of the lineup. The thing is, he is so terrific in the field that even when he is not hitting he is an asset.

We have to take advantage of this. Darvish made two really ugly mistakes and Ortiz and Ross killed both of them.

f***ing Yankees were down 4-1, now 4-4. Seems like about a 98% chance the final score is 5-4 Yankees.

Yankees would have a record close to the Blue Jays if they didn't have some corpse come up with a game tying/winning hit. They've come from behind in a ridiculous number of games already. They've been just as lucky with their wins as they've been unlucky with injuries.

Yu talking to himself leaving the mound "I threw a hanging curve ball to this gray beard guy first time up???" I don't think Yu is going to throw Ross any more curves today....hanging or otherwise.

Ross couldn't hit any of those fastballs?

We have so many Ks in this lineup. It's Papi and Napoli who has carried us with the pitching. Everyone else is really off from their career norm.

When both in the lineup Ells and Vic in tandem have done a great job of setting the table. It is sort of those two pairs of guys. Ells and Vic at the top and Ortiz and Naps in the power spots. But when the pairs are broken up by injury or rest, the remaining guy does not seem to fair as well. The way he has hit, Nava would almost be a better 3 hitter than a 2.
