The point is...don't expect him to be clubbing HR's until that thumb is not throbbing. Pedey is not a pure power hitter anyway. When he hits for real power he does it with bat speed.

But Pedroia isn't everyone else. Ellsbury in his last full season, hit a lot of HRs. No one is saying anything about that now. Forsyth is right, be happy he's still producing and getting on base. WMB has 6 HRs, are you happy with the production you're getting so far?

Ells big HR year was an anomaly. Although if healthy he will hit for more power than Vic will cause Vic is not even trying to hit for power. Pedey if healthy will hit for more power than Ells will any day of the week. You folks don't seem to be getting it. Asking Pedey to hit HR's if that thumb is still throbbing is unfair to Pedey. We have always treated the guy like he is bulletproof and immune to pain. I have always argued that is ******** and unfair to him as a player.
