Well that was fast. Starting pitchers tend to be vulnerable in the 1st. Our 1st inning issues last year were in part our inability to do anything with the opposing pitcher in the 1st while the opposition was eating our starter alive in the 1st. Our guys really did struggle in the 1st but we sure did not help ourselves offensively in 1st innings either, especially later in the year before and after the "trade".

It's a good sign when we still perform well offensively without WMB producing. Plus we still have Ortiz coming back, plenty to be happy about.
