Actually, I hate to say it, but Jacko is right. Unless we're talking only players out for the season, I don't think any team has them beat.

So in 2010 were nothing compared to this. Let's run through the list here....

March

Curtis Granderson to the DL 3/31

Phil Hughes to the DL 3/31

Derek Jeter to the DL 3/31

Mark Teixeira to the DL 3/31

Michael Pineda to the DL 3/31 Lost for season

April

Phil Hughes activated 4/6

Francisco Cervelli to the DL 4/27 (lost for season)

Ivan Nova to the DL 4/27

Joba Chamberlain to the DL 4/30

Kevin Youkilis to the DL 4/30

May

Eduardo Nunez to the DL 5/12

Curtis Granderson activated 5/14

Andy Pettitte to the DL 5/17

Ivan Nova activated 5/24

Curtis Granderson to the DL 5/25

Joba Chamberlain activated 5/28

Mark Teixeira activated 5/31

Kevin Youkilis activated 5/31

Corban Joseph to the DL May 31 (lost for season)

June

Andy Pettitte activated 6/3

Kevin Youkilis to DL 6/14 (lost for season)

Mark Teixeira to DL 6/18 (lost for season)

July

Jayson Nix to DL 7/3

Eduardo Nunez activated 7/6

David Phelps to DL 7/6

Derek Jeter activated 7/11

Derek Jeter to DL 7/11

Zoilo Almonte to DL 7/20

Luis Cruz to DL 7/24 (lost for season)

Derek Jeter activated 7/28

Travis Hafner to DL 7/28 (lost for season)

Jayson Nix activated 7/29

August

Curtis Granderson activated 8/2

Alex Rodriguez activated 8/5

Derek Jeter to DL 8/5

Melky Mesa to DL 8/22 (lost for season, the released)

Jayson Nix to DL 8/22 (lost for season)

Derek Jeter activated 8/26

September

Derek Jeter to DL 9/11 (lost for season)

Brett Gardner injured 9/12 (lost for season)

Just look at that list. At one point, we had Jeter, Nunez and Nix on the DL. We had Luis Cruz, who was a scrap heap garbager hit the DL and one of the MiLB guys hit the DL at the same damn time. We've been decimated and I think Gardner's loss kills all possibility of a run. The sox stepped on the throat and theyre dead now

By my count, that's 19 different players hitting the DL.

In 2012, the Red Sox had 24.

Wow, the Sox lose two in a row, and look who shows up? I swear, I could set my watch by you if my silky smooth sensitive skin allowed me to wear a watch without chafing.

Lol you really think I showed up because you lost two games in row?

two pointless games I might add since you already have the division locked up.

The pubes that you cultivate on your face don't irritate your silky smooth skin?

Yes, and my response to calling my full beard "pubes" was to make a joke about sleeping with your wife. Don't hate on beards. Beards are taking the Sox to the World Series!
LOL!! Oh okay, I was worried that you might be lacking an appropriate sense of proportion.;)

Everyone is always worried about my sense of proportion. Just the other day while I was venting my frustration at the people with too many items in the express lane, all the hostage negotiator could talk about was "overreacting" and "please just let the children go".

LMAO!!! Did you let the kids go? :D

Yankees Clinch Post-Season Berth

NEW YORK- In a surprise announcement, Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman said today that the entire Yankees roster has secured a berth on a Carnival Cruise ship, immediately after the season ends.

"You could sort of call it a 'post-season berth'", remarked Cashman, already decked out in sunglasses and khaki shorts. "We had this in motion for the last several months, but we just finalized the deal today."

Specifics have not been announced, but sources say that the Yankees traded first baseman/designated hitter Lyle Overbay for 50 first-class tickets to the upcoming Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean Sea. Overbay, who somewhat anchored the Yankees' lineup for the first several months of the 2013 season, will likely serve to anchor the Carnival Cruise ship Princess while it is in port.

However, other individuals close to the front office have hinted that the Yankees, to spare themselves some of the media and stress associated with his upcoming hearings, have denied Alex Rodriguez a spot on the team vacation. Rodriguez has expressed little interest in the trip, however, citing instead a desire to spend the weeks-long vacation on a Naval vessel.

Two "balls" were right down Broadway according to espn. Come the f*** on.

BTW, this Sunday, the Yankee will honor Mo with a patch on their caps commemorating his number. Its the first time a tribute has been made by a team by a player still on the team. I'm gonna miss him.

And the saddest f***ing thing is that this guy was the balls in the playoffs. More men have walked on the moon than have scored on Mariano in the playoffs. And instead of going out swinging in October, the Yankees go out with a whimper in September. Not a fitting end for the greatest closer of all time

This is so f***ing bogus. What a bunch of crap. It's really all about marketing and $elling the patch caps. I'd be embarrassed if I was Mariano.

Actually, 12 men have walked on the moon. 13 men have crossed the plate against Mariano Rivera in the postseason. Also, I think walking on the moon is a much more notable accomplishment, seeing as, you know, it's the f***ing moon.
