You guys are going to jinx this. Tex and Youk are both going yard tonight.

After the last year or so for both Tex and Youk, if it was possible to jinx them into good players by talking bad about them, it would have been done a thousand times over

Teixiera and Youkilis are gonna help so much!!!!!!!!

.....2 for 18, 12 K's.

I know he was trying to be optimistic, but this is just flat out hilarious. He made them seem like we were going to be in trouble lmao.

Teixeira especially is probably going to take a long time to get it going. He's usually a slow starter and this year he didn't even have spring training. These guys returning from injuries are a real mixed blessing for the Yankees.

Don't tell that to a lot of people here who, inexplicably, expect Teixeira to be an immediate significant upgrade over Overbay.

There is significant evidence that helps one concluded that while he will be an upgrade, how much of an upgrade remains to be seen, and the chances that he'll be a massive one are slim.

Sure, the Yankees will have to find a way to stay close until Tex hits his stride.

Pettitte ran out of gas in the 5th. He's definitely not sharp. Regardless, a grounder to 3b that ate up Adams cost us the lead. It's good to see Tex hit one out, but that doesn't mean h's fully back. A few yrs ago, he took Verlander deep in game 1 then went on a 30 day slump

That's the most excited I've seen him since the rain delay last night.

well yeah, seeing one of your players hit a Grand Slam in a 0-0 game is exciting, much more so than just a solo shot HR.

Because Wells cannot hit the broad side of a barn and we needed to do something since we sent Boesch to AAA.

How the mighty have fallen......

I wish the Guardians scored just one more run that inning. That way you wouldn't be showing yourself right now.

Tex does look like his timing has improved, though. He just pulled foul that high heater off Masterson. It's going to take some time, but at least the clock is moving now

Would you care to expand on your earlier thoughts about how Andy Pettitte is going to improve the pitching? He's no Vidal Nuno.

Pettitte will give a better season than Nuno. We all know this. I like Nuno and think he will be a useful big leaguer one day, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.
