So we're tied in the loss column 12 days into the season. We get Jeter and Granderson back in 3 weeks or so. Every day that passes that someone doesn't just bolt past us is a day we can use to jump ahead once we're healthy

Apparently A-Rod paid a former clinic employee to prevent the release of potentially damaging documents.

"If MLB can acquire physical evidence or convince witnesses to give sworn statements, Rodriguez could not only face suspension from Major League Baseball, but possible criminal charges."

Amazing how much more you guys post whenever the Yankees are relevant lol.

Did you forget how dead the Red Sox section was after A-Gon/Crawford/Beckett got traded?

Dude, I just got back from the Bahamas. I watched the Yankees yesterday and they were lackluster mostly due to the fact that they were down out of the gate. This won't be the team of yrs past, where they can get down 3,4,5 runs and come back. Our pitching needs to lead us and yesterday Hughes sucked nuggets. He's a slow starter and after what he did last yr, he's got more rope, but he just doesn't fit on this team long term due to his extreme flyball tendencies. I hope he turns it around for this season and for the draft pick comp at yrs end.

If something isn't true, I call it out. I wasn't on last night and we won, does that mean I don't support my team? Regardless, this team just needs to stay close, and we've got a shot. That being said, the contingency that I put on the sox contending has come to fruition in the first 2 weeks. Lester and Buchholz have been lights out. If they pitch to their ceilings, they'll be in this thing until the end. If they fade out or get injured, then they're not going to contend. Just like with the Yankees, if CC, Pettitte and Kuroda fade, then we're f***ed

Age and injury could get you guys this year, but I have been ecpecting that for years.

The Yankees will be there, some way some how. No matter how much they're supposed to suck, they never do despite how terrible the team looks on paper. SSS aside, Vernon Wells is OPSing over 1.000 FFS.

Vernon Wells looks like a man come to life. I dont know if he became disillusioned in Toronto and just gave up in Anaheim, but right now, the guy looks like the old Vernon Wells. If he keeps playing like this, we might have a significant issue when Grandy returns. Also, Travis Hafner is hitting the piss out of the ball too. And it looks like Youk got mad. He wants a big money contract and if he plays like he has, he'll get it.

Travis Hafner looks like the old Pronk and Vernon Wells has been able to show some Blue Jay magic. I dont know how much roids they're putting in the Gatorade, but they better keep em flowin

You never wish injury on someone but it's about damn time the Yankees ran into some bad luck.

Bad luck? Travis Hafner, Vernon Wells and Youl are all playing well for them.

My point exactly. Everything has a habit of going their way and now they finally hit a significant snag. Normal teams would start 2-12 with that lineup but not the Yankees, of course.

In response to this news, the Yankees are going to sign the two thousand year-old knight who guarded the Holy Grail. He will finish at .390.

Fransisco Cervelli. Just...read that again. Fransisco. Cervelli.

If you could draw the hate for the Yankees out of my mind and convert it to pure energy, it could propel and sustain a manned spacecraft to Alpha Centauri.
