When your opinions never exceed six or seven words, more than half of which are variations on "f***" "sucks" "stupid" "overpaid" and "loser", then yes. If you want to be negative beyond all reason, at least try to contribute something, and don't be obnoxious about it. This is why SCM33 and a700, for instance, are still here, and others are not.

That last hit off of Cook is the way hitters should attack all the junk ballers. It used to be standard practice to just foul off balls to low in the zone to do anything with until you finally forced a meatball out of a pitcher like Cook. Carew used to be ridiculous at it. He would just stand there in the batters box and foul them off one after the other until he got one he liked.

 

Seems to be something of a lost art these days.

Yup. Look, I have been warned that if I keep stating negative views and opinions that I would be banned. Actually a mod publicly called me an ******* today, something which I myself would surely be banned for. I feel that I have lightened up quite a bit. All in all, none of us like to see the team struggle. Things look a little better now so let's just enjoy it. Who knows, maybe things start to climb from here on in for the club. :thumbsup:

I know this has nothing to do with today's game, but thinking about how I miss Youk, and how important Ells and Pedroia were to the 2007 championship, I got to thinking about how Ortiz is the last guy left from the 2004 team. When he hangs it up it is going to be sad. I hope this team wins another one in the next couple seasons, it would help to ease the sense of disconnect between that historic 04 team and the current one.

It's not but when you're incredibly inconsistent trying to catch up to the Yankees is really hard. Playoffs hopes are still alive. This team gets on any type of hot streak and pitching gets better, watch out.

The Sox don't need to worry about the division and the WC. They need to worry about winning games. That's the only factor they control.

It all comes down to Beckett and Lester. If josh and him can post era's under 4 the rest of the way, we'll be there. It all depends on them.
