Another loss. When will our FO do something, anything, to shake things up for this team? Probably not until its too late...then the excuses. Its not going to be a pretty sight. In fact, its going to get really brutal if this continues.

Top of the 8th, pitchers spot up first.

Hmm... I have Middlebrooks and Punto, and there's virtually no chance that the P spot gets back up...

Yeah Punto sounds good.

Idiotic move, V.

A ridiculous decision.

Wow, it was 2 out fail time.

Who here actually thinks this team is going to win this game.

If the 2012 Red Sox was a horse, someone would take it out behind the barn and shoot it.

Pods with 3 hits tonight out of 5 for the team' date=' but everyone is quick to DFA him when our OFers return.[/quote']

Not just because of tonight, but overall, I think he's a keeper.

The problem with your argument is that you assume all parks are equal.

I think OPS is the single most useful statistic to determine the value of an offensive player. I can understand the arguement for using OPS+. Can you find a list of all time OPS+ leaders? I can't.

Its more like a slow poisoning.

Melancon's ERA is plumetting.

He sucks. DFA.

Nice play Pedey and Ortiz.

One more chance to attempt to tie or win this one. I have a headache.

He has good speed, and a good base runner. He's a good OF who can play CF. Good bunter. He brings more to the team than DMac or Nava

The LA Kings, the #8 seed, is about to take the Stanley Cup away from the Bruins. They lead 4-0. Congratulations to them and their fans. First cup for the franchise, I believe.

Sure. You can find it here

Coming into this season, Adrian Gonzalez had a 140 OPS+, and had a 147 OPS+ over the past 5 seasons.

Have a look. There are a lot of big names in that 145 range.

I've been to as many Kings games as I've been to Bruins games.

Thanks, but I am not discounting this season at all. It all counts. Let me look at it.

I agree about Dmac but not Nava. He exceeded expections. He's fallen off though.

That high inside pitch is the pitch David knows he cannot hit...that is why he is so mad at himself

Checked it out. Gonzo is at 137. There are many good-but-not-great players in that range IMO. As I said, it all depends on how you define "great".
