I'm talking about your prediction that 7 runs would be necessary.

The Nats only need two more runs to make that the case anyway.

There's no evidence that Red Sox players aren't 'giving it everything'.

In his mind they aren't. Nothing shocking about that.

8k, 1BB and 5H through 5 innings so far. His FIP is 3.08 and his xFIP is 1.58. He's been very good and has suffered some really poor luck.

The Celtics are going to win. You will see a tight game that we will pull out in the end. They are a class organization and their players are all team players who are not out for themselves. They give it everything every night. In contrast too.....well....

I'm not sure they can pull it off but still hoping. I think the Thunder would take the gold anyway, but I'll be much happier to see the Celtics-Thunder at the finals.

His ERA for today was 7.20. He sucked. He surrenders FOUR RUNS in five innings. You can label it with any kind of alphabet soup you want, its still a sucky performance.

Again, predicting an unlikely event that happens to come true does not retroactively make the prediction a good one. The odds that the Sox would need 7 runs were very low. Add to that the fact that Daisuke has actually been fairly dominant today while suffering some awful luck, and the fact that the Nats have scored 4 already is extremely unlikely.

If you had asked me what the results of a 5IP, 8K, 1BB, 5H day would be... a 4 run deficit would be one of the last things I'd come up with.

You're right. It must be lack of talent then.

Good gawd your posts are ridiculous, pathetic and insufferable. Go away.

No it's not. As I showed above, it's s*** luck. You may not be willing to consider anything but ERA, but that just makes your point of view limited. It doesn't change the reality that Daisuke has been dominant through 5 innings.

I bet you love the sound of your own voice too. Annoying.

Look, thats laughable. Dominant doesn't include surrendering four runs in five innings. That kind of "domination" is why we are in last place. I am willing to look at other factors besides ERA, like WHIP, K/BB etc, but the bottom line is that he put his team in a four run hole against the best pitching team in baseball. And he allowed those four runs against the 26th ranked offensive team in baseball. He sucked.

Gio got a break.

Nah, he was painting that AB.

Your arguments remind me of the arguments one tends to find on a religion video on youtube.

Daiskue wasn't unlucky, he pitched badly with runners on base. In that 4th inning he hanged many more pitches then he did in the other 4. If a pitcher gives out 3 of his 4 runs and 3 out of his 5 hits in one inning maybe there is more then just 'luck' to it.

I knew I would not be liken' this month.

Its just beginning Jung. Back below .500 by tomorrow. Lester better get a win tomorrow, though Lester is a joke.

I can't expand your mind for you. You've chosen to ignore more relevant stats and stick with outdated methods of player evaluation. Your position is that a bad play by Aviles and some good luck for the Nats means Daisuke sucked. He had no control over either of those things. The only thing you can be 100% certain was his fault was the home run.

He has an 8.00 k/bb today. That's the definition of dominance. Call it laughable if you want, but you're wrong. There's really no debate here.

So the Sox aren't going to take their final 12 outs? This game is far from over.

How is an argument loaded with statistical data... actual measurable evidence even remotely like a religious argument on youtube? If anything, my argument is an analog for evolution while pumpsie's is creationism.

He's hanging on to an outdated and irrelevant way of analyzing the sport, must like creationism is an outdated and irrelevant way to explain how life on this planet has gotten to where it's at today.
