That's what we assumed about the Rays in 2008. That didn't come to true.

We're talking about the Orioles, dude. I'd take suns seriously before I considered them a contender.

the O's do not in any way shape or form resemble the 2008 Rays.

I don't think they are going to make the playoffs, but they aren't the O's that we knew in the past. They will make it a game. They shouldn't be taken lightly.

I will find a f*** to give for them when they're contending in June. Until then, they can soak up the sweat from my balls. They're a bottom of the division team until they prove otherwise.

*8-2.

Worst outfield ever. But whatever, win the game. The Orioles shouldn't be this good.

I meant 8 for 10. Thanks for the correction.

A little league squad could've beat us last September.

I'm supposed to give 2 steaming shits about Baltimore because they've won some games in April and May?

Alright - Outfielders who are likely available for a trade:

Carlos Quentin (SD) - May actually work, but his defense is terrible.

Carlos Lee (Hou) - Yikes. Huge contract but a good power hitter.

Jeff Franceour (KC) - Very good platoon player. Under contract for 2 years/13.5mm. Not sure the Royals are willing to part with him, and I'm not sure he'd like to be traded. Seems to love KC.

Denard Span (Min) - Great defender, not much power, but has a .360 OBP. Bit of an underrated player. Would fill in nicely as a leadoff hitter in Ellsbury's absence. Definitely a possibility.

That's all I can really come up with. Nothing to be excited about.

I would like to see some of these fans saying the Orioles aren't better than us right now put up some bets to hang some nasty sig lines depending on the series outcome.

Let my wish come true my Red Sox and please put them O's tonight near the ground, put them tomorrow back on the ground and put them on wednesday under the ground and let them stay there. Good luck, GO RED SOX!!

I would absolutely bet that the Sox win this series. The Sox have a pitching advantage here.

14 pitches through 5 outs....outf***ingstanding

Considering it's Hunter, I'd rather see them first pitch swinging than trying to push him out of the game. He's going to be the easiest guy they can push across runs against tonight.

Ya but driving up the pitch count is only one aspect of plate discipline. Ya gotta' see pitches to pick on pitches that are good pitches to hit. The more pitches ya' see the more ya' can pick a pitch you can drive and the more you will be on the pitch you do pick.

That's not always the case.

A lot of pitchers try to get ahead with a first pitch fastball that catches a lot of plate, but hitters take because they don't want quick outs.
