Can anyone list a major league team defensive outfield that is worse than Ross, Byrd, and McDonald?

We need CC and Ells to return ASAP. Byrd is getting older and is a decent backup on occasion. Ross and Sweeney have not been that bad this year, but they would be better in a platoon role. I like CC in LF, Ells in CF, Ross/Sweeney in RF, and Marlon as a backup. That would be a very good OF. The injuries are the only problem. Yesterday Byrd and Ross both had costly plays. I am not big on sitting Sweeney right now. We need him to play everyday until CC or Ells return. Forget McDonald, I would rather him sit and maybe be considered in a trade package with Youk.

Can you imagine Canseco and Manny Ramirez on the same outfield? When Canseco headed that ball out of the park for a home run was he given an error?

Manny never had a ball hit him on the head. Canseco was almost in the class of Wily Mo Pena. Almost.

Wily needed a football helmut to play the outfield. Epstein's finest hour.

Manny made the easy ones look hard, but he had a good arm. Remember when he caught a ball going back , jumped into the stands, high-fived a guy, and came back on the field? Amazing.

Like I said earlier just like everything Sox nothing has a simple explanation....Ross has been worst when it comes to the physical task of getting to and catching the ball in the outfield....no question.

Byrd can't get started in the right direction in the first place. So you take your pick as to which is worse. On TV Ross might look worse cause you can see most of his struggles. Byrd, you would have to watch from the crack of the bat to see what he is doing out there. For my money, it is a bit scarier cause, with Byrd's issue he is going to miss balls that should be easy catches. Ross will more likely miss plays that a little harder. Ross will miss plays that a better athlete would make.
