I hate to say this, but....

Jackso is right. Doubront doesn't induce nearly enough weak contact. You can't try to strike out everyone and get through 7 innings. You have to be able to throw a two seamer, get some weak contact, and have some 7 or 8 pitch innings because you're not going to be able to limit it to 15 pitches a frame everytime out.

That was a smart at bat from Agons except he worked him to a FB down main street and let it go by.

Agons just seems so adamant about going wall balling.

He does leaves a lot of changeups middle of the zone. That need to be at the knees or lower to get grounders.

Bard has allow only 1 hit on his changeup all season. Amazing huh?

There we go. Got on the board. We still have 5 inning's after this inning to score 4 runs now.

This is the perfect atchison environment too.

Thank you. And that will come with time for the rookie. As he gets more experience, he will learn how to use the zone to force contact rather than try to K everyone

Ross has been rolling over everything here lately. He's topping everything right now.

Parker is pitching like a veteran tonight. Keeping the ball down IN THE ZONE and inducing weak contact

BTW' date=' Doubront's WHIP is up to 1.54 on the season and ERA over 5.[/quote']Allowing 5 runs over 4 innings to these bunch of banjo hitters is not acceptable. Our staff has helped bring alive the AAA bats of the pathetic A's.

I don't think the difference would have been anywhere near as remarkable if the Sox were not swingin' from the on deck circle.

Well Atch does his clean inning thing again. Maybe V:

a) can't bring Atch in to get the Sox out of jams

B) cant bring Atch in to start clean late innings

That leaves clean early innings only....maybe thats' the secret to Atch

No other option unfortunately.
It's not his fault. He is a very good platoon/part time player. He can get incredibly hot for extended periods. Right now, you are right that we have no other options. Howvere, Bobby Abreu is unemployed and always hit at Fenway. Maybe there is an option.

I am unsure if you guys are just jokingly misspelling the name or if you are unaware that his name is Punto

Jokingly. He's been going by Pinto, Punta, etc because he's horrible.
