Doubront has not done a "great" job thus far. He's shown that he can strike out the entire team and then some, but he is only going to last 5 innings if he is lucky. His stuff is good enough to where he can end at bats early with pitches in the zone. He doesnt need to set every batter up and get them to K. Scouts see Salty and salivate. Humongous frame, powerful arm, huge power at the plate. But he is one of those guys who just cannot put all the tools together. He didnt get much of a chance in Texas, so Theo probably thought he could give him that and see what happens. Thing is, he is cooked. Poor defensively, below average offensively when it is all said and done, and he's been exposed. Time to cut bait. If the sox flounder in May and end up around .500 by June 1, you better believe Lavs will be the catcher until one is found at the deadline
