Youk needs to hit the 15 day DL if he's going to keep being DTD like this because before you know, you look back and you have Punto starting 10 of the last 12 games in a situation where Youk could have just hit the DL, gotten his back completely better without trying to rush it, and we still have a good 3B playing everyday rather than Punta.

It just a roster thing. Only Tazawa from the pen have options to be send down. So they won't lose anyone they didn't want to clear a roster for Cook.

 

They didn't want to send Buchholz down, and maybe he should been the roster casualty. He hasn't done anything well.

If Yugo goes on the DL which is a possibility, I'd guess Iggy is a late inning defensive replacement with Aviles going to 3rd. Iggy gets garbage time ABs. If Yugo is long term DL then we see Middlebrooks at 3rd IMO
