The AtBat feed is way ahead of the commentary.

Buch is learning how to pitch again! Good team to build confidence against.

Was his no-hitter against the O's? Or KC? Maybe Lester was KC.

Lots of low 90s. Buch still without the good velo

He's always been an enigma to me. He can be really masterful at times, he has a s*** ton of talent but he seems to have this confidence problem.

Well that was a lousy inning. Buch gives up two hits another walk to these bums and the A's get a run home off a base path mistake we did not make them pay for....outstanding.

Buch may be pitching himself into a trip to Pawtucket.

Cespedes and Inge smoked the ball to CF. Too many pitches in the middle of the plate' date=' and Buch has fallen in love with the cutter a la Phil Hughes.[/quote']

Everyone wants to be like the un-named one who has basically shut down the league with nothing but a cutter for over a decade.

I dont think the talent is there right now. He was a #2 when he was healthy. I just dont think he is healthy and I am unsure if he ever will get back to that level again. When he was dominating, his fastball was hard. In 2010, the average FB was 94.1mph. This yr, it's 91.9mph. 2.2 mph is a lot for him

We also did like 51 in the 6 games prior.

Feast to famine. A's have good pitching but we need to keep the pedal to the metal right now.

Ortiz is a beast. He deserves a contract for another year or two.

Middlebrooks needs to join this team.

Ortiz is playing like he wants a big money contract for next season. If he keeps hitting like this, he will. My guess is, though, it wont be with Boston. I doubt the sox are stupid enough to offer arb to him again

Yeah. Impressive then but buch couldn't throw a no a hitter in high school baseball right now.

I think he'll end with a respectable line today since the A's are effectively a HS offense. 5IP 3ER, something like that

He is hitting well because he feels better with the weight loss. He wants to finish his career in Boston. IMO

This will not be his last season.

If he puts up a 1.000+OPS season, he will get a big money contract. With the sox having Lavarnway coming up the pipe and being up against the cap, I doubt they give one to him again.

That will work. Have to say I've come to expect very little from DMac, you would think that a team like Boston could have found something better in the last few years. He does seem to try but hey..

Boston would be foolish to not re-sign Papi. He's the best DH!! And he's come out of spring training on fire. Drop Youk for Nidflebrooks and give Papi two more seasons. He deserves to end as a Red Sox.

He'll be here next year, you guys aren't getting him.

I dont want him in NY. His next contract will likely be his last and he will likely be useless by the end of it. My guess is he gets a 3 yr $36 mil contract and will be s*** in yrs 2 and 3. We have enough dead weight, we dont need more

People have been assuming Ortiz is about to be a goner from Boston for several years now.

So much better having Gammons in the booth tonight. No offense to Abraham and Cafardo.

Pedey looks 100% better clean shaven.

The sox tried to make him a goner. They were hoping he'd leave so they could take the picks.
