So Lester is our #1 huh? 4 runs what happened??

Something is slightly wrong with Jon's mechanics and it's been like this for the last year and a half. He isn't going to be a number 1 unless he somehow rediscovers how to control the outside corner with his fastball like he used to. Every time he goes for the corner he flys open and the pitch goes up and away.

They had no choice but to skip Bard....Lester and Beckett would have gone 7 days if they had not done that.

I probably should have referred to my other posts but what I meant and the point I have made several times in the last few days is that compared to opponents 4 and 5 rotation guys, our 4 and 5 rotation guys have shown very well so far. Compared to opponent 1,2 and 3's not so good. Beckett has been a pretty solid 2 despite the Detroit blowup and has certainly been a more competitive 2 than our 1 and 3 have been compared to what the opponents bring to the table as 1's and 3's.

Lester seems like lost right now.... Fasten your seatbelts gentlemen.

The guys on MLB network just aired a piece about picking up saltys signs and have been "calling" Lester's pitches... They're pretty sure the twins have caught on also....haven't been watching the gm so idk

Lester, our "ace", has now surrendered five earned runs in five innings against a pretty mediocre offensive team.

This team is in a world of hurt.

I think Salty is definitely part of the problem.

Wouldn't surprise me if true...

to many walks...to many pitches in the middle of the plate....Smalley singing the praises of seeing lots of pitches...that is really another way to discuss patience at the plate. Maybe the Sox hitters should listen in.

Actually it's Lester's fault ... The MLB guys picked up our "sequence" pretty easily, but Lester , once he gets "his pitch" he gets into his set mode while salty is still giving signs... They called 3 straight pitches watching the gm... Idk if that's played into the gm or not, but they believe so

Why-is he pitching?

If he is part of the problem, he is a very small part of it. Its the PITCHERS not hitting their spots. Its the pitching pitching pitching. Its not the manager; its not the catcher; its not ANYTHING but the has-beens we call pitchers
