So he's wrong either way haha.

How am I wrong? I said they have blown 3 saves in 3 games. They have. 1 on opening day, 2 today.

What are you arguing?

They never had a lead on Opening day. How is that a save opportunity?

They didn't blow a Save on Thursday. They NEVER had the lead.

2 saves today = 1 game.

Are you really going to argue this?

They've had 3 games. They've blown 3 saves. Doesn't matter how you look at it, it happened.

Well at least it's only April 8th and the Yankees are 0-3 as well.

The Rays have to go face the Tigers for a 3 game series this week. If they go 1-2, they'll be lucky. That Tigers offense is swinging from their heels right now.

Take 2/3 from the Blue Jays, and then take 3/4 from the Rays.

Lost in all of this was just how horrible Buchholz was. If he was able to go 6 IP, 3-4 ER, the Sox cruise today with Padillas showing. But, 4 IP, 7 ER? To be honest, this offense showed some heart to even get back into this game.

I bet Pedroia and Gonzalez want to stab that bullpen in its collective eyeball, especially Gonzo after having his tower buzzed and then taking one in the ribs.

We all know its just game 3. But I think as fans we are/were spoiled and want wins. We will be just fine in July. I know it. I mean we could be royals fans.

To be honest, I think Boston has some of the worst fans ever Not just the Red Sox but every single Boston team. While they're a lot of good ones, they're are so much bad ones. Luckily we have a massive amount of good ones on the site.

I'd rather just get blown out. Losses like today just further cement the fact that we have nobody to get the outs that mean something at the end of games.

I know what you're saying but today is more dejecting than yesterday. Knowing we had a great shot at closing out a win twice' date=' and twice the BP letting us down.... to me that's worse than getting blown out because our starter was just not on.[/quote']

In all seriousness, these losses increase the urgency to address the bullpen more than a blowout would have. Yesterday's loss didn't involve the offense scoring double digit runs and executing to score a run when it mattered. If they lost today's game after a 5 game winning streak we would be saying "it was just one of those games". Unfortunately, it came on the heels of another two tough losses so we will see it differently.

Well of the three starters that have pitched so far, only Lester had command of his pitches. Beckett was up and in the middle of the plate (balls in orbit) and Buch was down but in the middle of the plate (balls in the outfield).

Paps was right about BOS, but Philly fans are pretty s***** too.

Until the day comes when fans from some other city pelt Santa Claus with snow balls and boo him, Philly fans alone occupy the spot at the very bottom of the totem pole.

I missed today's game. Too bad.

It's ONLY 3 games into the season. The Sox started very slowly last year and then were dominant until the unmentionable happened.

It's time for some reason. Not panic.

Hey I know things look bad right now, cause they are. But we all need to relax and re focus. And to help us do that we have this picture of Kate Upton. http://topwalls.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/kate-upton9-600x450.jpg

I just went and read the game 162 thread from last year. It's the Red Sox fan version of cutting yourself to distract you from your real problems. Being 0-3 in 4 days is still waaaaaay better than 7-20 in a month

We got 159 games to right the ship, this ain't September 2011. Plus, fwiw, it ain't like those *******s in the Bronx are lighting the world on fire ;)

Yeah we'll be alright. Morales and Padilla (I still cant believe Padilla) actually looked good and I gotta believe Aceves will get better. He's thrown 14 pitches this year, has 0 swinging strikes 0 outs 4 hits 1 BS and an ERA of infinity. That has to get better right?

Exactly. Plus we got hill on the way back. Ace will be fine, say what you want about his peripherals but he's been solid as a reliever his whole career and he'll be fine when he's back in his old role. Im worried about melancon but hes pitched in 2 games. We'll see how it all works out but I think we will be okay moving forward, no one reason to jump off the bridge just yet.

The Sox should certainly look better against the Jays cause the Jays cannot make them pay for their mistakes like Detroit can. That said we would hope that the Jays are not an issue anyway.

By the time we are done with Rangers, Rays and Yankees we will either feel much better about things or we won't. One good thing about facing most of the teams you have to get by to even make the playoffs early in the season is that it won't take long to figure it out.
