Wtf is with all these guys getting in under false names? Anyone else get's busted and Selig might be dusting off George Mitchell for another probe

I just don't understand the fake names. I know that they try to cover up their age, but they are still good enough to play baseball in the MLB, so why try to cover it up? It is stupid and the consequences aren't worth it. More than likely someone will find out.

They say they're younger because teams will work with the younger kids a lot more. Plus, they'd get a bigger bonus and longer contract

I am aware of that, it is just stupid. It is a three year difference. It isn't like it is a 10 year difference. This brings back memories of that Almonte kid that pitched in the Little League World Series a few years back.

He first signed in 2001 I believe. I think he would have been 20 or 21 when he first was started in the minors for the Guardians. He claimed he was 17 or 18. I know they like younger prospects, but it really isn't that much of a difference. I think a team would have taken a chance on him still. It is stupid because now he has to deal with the unknown of what is going to happen with his future.
