you are acting like we have won 5 in a row its one win. if we ome out and lose 4-1 tomorrow thoses 18 won't mean s***

Jeez, get the sand out out your pants party pooper :thumbdown

We're enjoying a beatdown. It feels good after sucking so much recently. We're having our fun and no one knows what will happen these last few games. Just let it ride.

Always got to stay optimistic. Baseball gods finally decided to show some love.

I'm right with you mate. I hope for these periodic stretches of doom just to cull out the bs "fans."

i know you will all jump all over me for this but even though we won we shouldn't have to score 15+ to win. in a 5 game series we will be lucky if we do that once. the wins encouraging but not that encouraging our starting pitching is still awful and our pen is weak

If the Sox make the Playoffs, no way we see Wake, Weiland or Lackey trot out there to pitch a game. I'm confident with Beckett and Lester, and I'm more confident in Bedard than any of the names I named above, and Aceves should be the 4th starter IMO.....

This is a good offensive showing. But' date=' we all knew that they can hit. But, what is alarming is that we still gave up 9 runs to the O's.[/quote']

ONE word: Lackey.

i doubt francona will make Aceves the 4th starter that will weaken our pen tremendously. if buch comes back then i'd be more confident

Aceves is terrible as a SP. Leave him where he's finding success.

While I agree he's more effective as a BP arm, Aceves is still better than Weiland, Wake, and/or Lackey right now.

They made a mistake not stretching him out two weeks ago. That ship has sailed now. I doubt we'll see him in the rotation if we do end up making the playoffs (of which I'm still confident)

We can only hope and pray that Buch will be good to go in some way by next week or so.....

If his bullpen session was any indicator, he should be alright. We'll know for sure next week when he gets a start in Baltimore. I'm hoping for 5 innings or more.

Is there word that he might get a start next week in Baltimore? I hadnt seen that....

I enjoy watching Sholwalter scowl. Does that make me a bad person?

Not at all. Showalter is a piece of s***. Always has been and always will. Not much more I enjoy than watching him get his ass kicked in repeatedly.

I think I heard somewhere that the plan was to try and get him in. Especially in light of how well things went in the last BP session. I could be wrong though.

5 innings after being out that long? No chance.

From the Pete Abe at the Globe yesterday:

Clay Buchholz will throw a simulated game on Tuesday and throw again on Thursday. Could he be available in Baltimore next weekend? Maybe so.

Theo on Lackey's outing tonight, "I thought he had pretty good stuff tonight"

I dont f***ing get it and I am sick of Tito defending Lackey and his other under-performing players.

Pretty good stuff? 8 f***ing earned runs Tito, were you watching the same game?
