You sound like you're going down on the Yanks if you catch my drift.

Posted
Not really

They've beat us twice outta 10 and you're pulling this BS about us going down out of your ass. And anyone who watched the game knows the umps were no f***ing help.

The yankees are definetly playing better but its one game.Lackey needs to pitch the game of his life tomorrow and gotta get to C.C early and not let him get into a rhythm

See the new gamethread, it'll give you an idea of what's gonna happen.

Not to sound like Chicken Little, or anything, but this team is starting to worry me. We had trouble with the White Sox, and the Yankees basically walked all over them. We have trouble beating Cleveland, and we should have taken 3 of those with no trouble. Now this game tonight....seriously? We can't score more than 2 runs on Colon? Wow.

Dude, wait until the series is over and we've actually fallen apart. We're fine.

When he shouldn't. The series isn't over and we can still come out of this with the lead. The Yankees are hot right now, yeah, but we're still better than they are. If they were really heading so far up and us down, they would've blown us out. Hell, they needed Cooper's help to beat us anyway.

Doesn't seem that bad

Why don't you go get Lester's and compare the two moron.

You misunderstand me. I am not calling the season over, or even the series. I am just saying the past few series we have played and to only get 2 runs off of Colon it troubling to me. I think Lackey comes out tomorrow and suprises everyone. I have faith in my Sox...I just think we are in a bit of a funk right now, and the Yankees are riding a great wave of success.

Oh for f***'s sake... seriously... just because they're on a winning streak right now doesn't mean you have to suck their dick.

We lost tonight... big f***ing deal. It's August. It's one game.

Salty' date=' you want a700 to like you? Get a run in.[/quote']:lol:

I like Salty. He can't help that he stinks. He did throw out 2 base stealers tonight, and he is no worse than most catchers, but the whole crop of catchers are sorry sacks of s***.

I am glad I missed tonight's game. I think my head would have exploded when that garbage bag Logan k'd AGon. I did not have a good feeling going into this series, because the Yankees have been on a tear.

I don't understand how the Yankees are where they are. They have been running bums to the mound as starters on a regular basis. Colon and Garcia? Please! This is smoke and mirrors. I can't see how they can sustain their position unless Hughes gets in a groove like pre-All Star Break 2010.

Posted
My concern wasn't the pitch calling(every ump f***s up) but the check swinging.

Check swing calls are tough because the rule is so poorly defined.

But I have no problem with people bitching about the strike zone ... even if it's not always based in reality. But while I usually try to stay out of these things, after reading tonight's thread I did feel the need to comment on one thing ... I know these games can be emotional, but the maturity in here tonight was at an all time low. I can't believe some of you guys are OK saying some of the things you post.

Except a lot of the things were said before the Sox started losing. I don't really care whether or not it's a joke (and believe me, I'm hardly sensitive). It's actually rather impressive, in an entirely bad way, that some people in this thread manage to hit the perfectly awful combination of disgusting immaturity and unbridled stupidity. So, to some of you, bravo.

For the record, I only chose to say something because no one else did ... and I found it to be necessary.

Posted
Yeah some of the comments made tonight were a little ridiculous. It seems like the comments get out of hand whenever the Sox lose and the Yankees win. The complaining is beyond annoying. We cant win every game.

Three pitches in the strike zone called balls, three pitches out of the strike zone called strikes.

And some of the things said in this thread tonight ... wow.

Ridiculous, huh? In the 2nd, Lester caught the outside of the plate at least twice out of the three on Andruw. Then later misses and the ump calls it. what? It's too bad for Lester. He gave a quality start.

I seriously hate umpires. Such f***ing useless scumbags. Name one aside from Joyce who isn't a worthless sack of crap.

Horrible loss tonight and tomorrow is a loss so down 2 i guess.

irony at its best.

I've always wondered if one day umpires will be removed from the game partially or completely for technology, computer strike zones or something. Discussion and arguments with the ump and the varied strike zones are, essentially part of the game.

Posted
Seriously, umpires are the only people who I wish ill upon and when I feel bad about the next day (seems to happen a lot) I don't feel as bad with a player or coach. Eric Cooper, maybe you don't deserve any sort of pain delivered upon you, that said, you suck at your job and need to leave.

Ugh this means I have to read this thread now.

EDIT: Read 10 pages. Some of you people need to chill the f*** out. I've been noticing this more and more. It's a GT so we're a little more lax, but still. That read just like a NYYFans thread.

Just finished reading. Y228 got me curious. Pretty bad stuff.

I didn't post in this thread until the game was over. I read through it afterward. I have seen a lot worse. There were no flame wars between posters. The GT is a place for fans to post thoughts and reactions during the game. Fans are emotional and irrational. What's the big deal. Yankee fans have their own game thread if they want to avoid this. I did n't watch the game, but I was quite annoyed when I found out that Boone Crap Logan k'd AGon. It must also have been very annoying to watch that cheating old fat sack of s*** Colon. Everyone knows that he is cheating. He's 40 years old and grossly overweight and out of shape, but miraculously his right shoulder can pump 95 mph heat. I get annoyed just thinking about it. Let the fans be fans as long as they aren't attacking each other. Umpires and players are fair game. If people can't handle it then they should go watch a chess tournament.
