We just went 20-6 in July' date=' beating the piss out of the league's shittier teams. Where you goin' with this?[/quote']

Ha. well the Yankees are gaining ground.

The Red Sox are throwing guys out there with humungus Whips:

R.Williams 2.05, Lackey 1.55, Miller 1.88. These guys are getting creamed.

How can you justify throwing crap out on the mound with a $100 million dollar lineup?

Aside from Williams, what are the other options?

I thought he didn't want a call-up? And I meant options for Miller and Lackey.

Henry should give Lackey a job selling hedge funds.

The other two guys should be made to disappear.

We all do that sometimes, no biggie. If you're being serious right now.

No that was sarcasm! When they went 2-10 I was not worried for one minute. It's Aug 1st and I'm worried. Worried about the pitching, You cant win a championship with two quality starters. I see no fire right now in this team.

20-6 in July not good enough for you? Bedard isn't any good? Lackey pitching to a 2.52 in his last four coming into tonight isn't decent? What has to happen? 25 year old Clemens taking the mound firing flames from his right arm while smoke billows out of his ass?

Took me 3 minutes to find out who suns is on The Cleveland Fan. He is the guy who under "Least Favorite Player" listed Josh Beckett.

Who has that as their least favorite player?

Suns' date=' you are either Reddawg53 or Symbolic47.[/quote']

No and No

Lackey's problem is he doesn't throw hard anymore, and it makes his curve less effective.

The Sox didn't scout him close enough before they signed him, or they would have picked it up.

Kinda like what happened to Pedro. He just gets hit more frequently.

Dunn (.162) has Cameron's syndrome... He sucks a lot

My theory is these guys don't condition more when they get older. Hell, they're all multi-millionaires. What do they care--until the next contract.

Looks like we will have to agree to disagree. You are a Lackey lover and I am not. That 2.52 certainly did not help him tonight against CLEVELAND! That's my point, it's CLEVELAND! And if you mean fired up like Beckett gets, I'll take that! Two quality starters with a fantastic offense=20-6. Don't look now, but the Yankees are nipping at our heels.

They are master thieves!

Jenks is in that list. :thumbdown

Well, the Yankees gained a game in the standings last night, but it's Danks vs Hughes tonight (Chicago has that win), and it's Beckett vs Huff (Rookie LHP) tonight for the Sox, which we should take.

Hope they enjoyed that 1 game deficit, it's about to be taken away.

FWIW, here are the matchups for the next 3 games:

Beckett v Huff, Hughes vs Danks (adv CHI)

Wake v Carrasco, Burnett v Floyd

Bedard v Masterson, Nova v Humber

I fully expect the Sox to pick up at least 1-2 games over the next 3 days.

s*****. Ellsbury didn't have any fire tonight. Neither did Ortiz. Lackey was decent' date=' better than pre-ASB.[/quote']Amputees are better than pre-ASB Lackey. He had one of the worst, if not the worst, half season in the history of the Red Sox.

he said he'd rather be dealt than called up

That's exactly what he said if you take it out of context and ignore the other half.
