  1. Napoli.......... Booyah!!!! Holy s***
  2. Disregarding this game, they look like a Pony League team out there tonight. WMB looks like he might be coming back into form. But their middle of the order has pretty much sucked as of late. This isn't how you compete in October! Just sayin....
  3. Farrell defending Dempster trying to establish his inside fastball as the reason he hit A-Rat! Love that guy....
  4. This is like watching a train wreck! C'mon DB, 3-0!!!!
  5. Sorry for the low post count, haven't been around in a while.
  6. Hey look, that's what you do when you have RISP! Unbelievable.....
  7. I must admit that I thought he was what the Sox needed after Tito lost the team. But watching and listening to this man all year long, I have to ask myself, what the hell is going on inside his head? All the mistakes as something as simple as the lineup to publicly calling out players, he has got to go!! The FO has to see this. I just read Finn's article and as much I hate the Globes spin, Chad summed it up to a tee.
  8. http://www.boston.com/sports/blogs/thebuzz/2011/10/audio_john_henr.html Has anyone listened to this yet on "the buzz"? I have never heard so much double talk and tap dancing from one person (Henry)! Who is steering this ship????? For Henry to be so out of touch with HIS ballclub is mind blowing!!!! I understand that you put smart baseball people in positions to effect winning. But there has to be oversight!!!
  9. I'm a homer too, Joe Castiglione, grew up listening to him. When I hear his voice I am always magicially taken back to being 13 again. "Can you believe it!"
  10. OH HOW SWEET IT IS!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Girardi, there's no crying in baseball!!!! Poetic justice still exists in the world!
  12. Madden won't come cheap! But I like the thought.
  13. I know for me, that when a Lester or a Buckholtz or a papelbon come up through our system, it gives me a huge sense of pride. To scout and develop these talented players should also be a huge sense of pride for the organization. My brother was drafted by the Guardians organization as a pitcher. He made it to AAA but since has become a journeymen through the various minor leagues. The percentage of drafted talent that actually do make it to the majors is so slim, I'd have better luck winning the lotto. That is why it is so rewarding when our organization scouts and drafts someone that makes it to the big club.
  14. You can believe what you want. But I honestly feel that he was very sincere and spoke from the heart.
  15. Just read Tito's staement!!! WOW! What a classy man. Putting the team before himself! Henry doesn't deserve this kind of loyality. Or it is just one big SPIN! Guess well never know.
  16. Agree! This will give those who want to step up the latitude to do so without hurting someone's ego!
  17. Also, when a manager looses control of his team no matter what the sport. He can never get it back, period! I too wish him well and thank him for his service. But he is too cerebral of a coach for this team now. We need a "tow-the-line-or-else" type manager right now. We'll see Tito in Chicago next year.
  18. During the loosing streak I didn't hear once of a players only meeting! Yes the manager is untimately responsable for motivating/repremanding players who are slacking off. But outwardly there is no player leadership. I keep saying this but Shill would have closed the door and let it fly. I hate to say this but everyone knows that it's Jeter's team. Screw up or slack off and you he will come find you. Where was Tek through all this? He's the Captain, the voice of experience. And if it did happen, that should tell you how he is looked upon. I know for a fact that when Teddy Bruschi closed the doors, you had better be listening. Now I know you can't compare baseball to football. But there is still a team dynamic involved. Tito tried to bring up accountability in his own way (pat-pat, huge-huge, Kumbayah) but the players didn't respond. Why 04 and 07 worked with Tito's management style was due to great player leadership on and off the field. That ladies and gentleman is what we have lost! I keep waiting for petey to be that kind of leader of this team. I don't think it will happen as long as Tek has that "C"! Just my $0.02
  19. That is what the rumor is...... I hate to see him go out like this but I said this earlier, he has lost control of his clubhouse. When Tito said today that he saw this happening after a win in Toronto. And that he spoke to the players about giving a s*** about the guys you play with. I knew he had lost control. For how protective he is with the players, for him to come out and say this I think is a good indicator that he will not be back. I'd give anything to be a fly on the wall to find out who the cancerous attitudes are in the clubhouse.
  20. The AL MVP strikes again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
