I honestly don't think it would be a bad idea to start Weiland today and Lester tomorrow. You got a wet, slippery mound, I don't want Lester to be up and down and trying to throw after resting for 45 minutes, and you're going up against Kyle Davies.

Weiland's going to the bullpen.

I know that, but with 20 games in 20 days, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a spot start, and I think tonight would be a great spot for him to take Lester's start and bump him to a day where the conditions are a bit better for someone coming off the DL.

Been 3 years exactly since Jonny's no hitter. He could have had one in his last start, may dominate tonight against poor Royals offense.

Tonight's game is delayed

We don't have a time frame yet, but the Red Sox just announced tonight's game against the Royals will not start at 7:10 p.m.

We'll keep you posted as we know more. It's raining pretty hard right now.

Go rain in New York damn it. I want to see my baseball.

It's raining there too. This sucks, I can't even watch the Yankees.

I wonder how long they will wait.Would they start this game lets say at 9:45?

I think it's unlikely that they would begin a game they haven't already started at 9:45.

Phillies lost. If we win tonight we can pull within half a game of the best record in baseball.

Unfortunately, baseball does not utilize common sense. Rather than award homefield to the team with the better record, they award it to the league whose team wins the annual company picnic game.:thumbdown

The only way it would be fair to award home field to the team with the best record would be if the schedule was completely balanced.

To me, the best way to determine home field advantage would be for the league with the best interleague record to get home field advantage.

So, on a side note since we're in a rain delay, has anyone done p90x? I started it today, and holy s***. The ab ripper x workout is beastly. I was struggling to do like 1/3 of the reps.
