Well it was a good win anyway. Lackey pitched well, which has been coming a little less infrequently lately and Ellsbury is ridiculous

 

Salty didn't have a great game. He was 1 for 4 with a loud 400 foot out, but he also had a bad throw or two. Hopefully he can get that turned around, he's been underrated for us since May or so.

Ah, I was wondering why the GT was so short.

 

Reverse lock strikes again. Lackey was really good after the 1st inning, so that's always encouraging. Sox had Felix on the ropes for the whole night, and finally broke through in the 7th. Too many guys LOB before that, though.

Couple notes:

 

-Lackey started out rough and I thought it was going to be another one of those outburst outings. He settled down pretty nicely.

 

 

It's funny, I don't think Lackey started that rough at all. Yes, 3 hits & 1 ER. However, the inning looked a lot more rough than it really was b/c Ichiro got the single on the first pitch and then stole 2nd and 3rd so quickly and 3rd uncontested. If it weren't for his steals he may have never scored. The steals are more on Salty -- or I on Lackey's slow delivery (if he has a slow one.) Anyway -- not *too rough.

Whenever I couldn't load the page, one of the things the error message said was "If this continues, please email the administrator of the website at Admin "AT" talksox "DOT" com, or something like that, but it gave his email.

I thought Lackey had great stuff last night and would have had good results against any lineup. He also mixed in all of his pitches rather nicely throwing 16 4-seam fastballs, 11 changeups, 32 sliders, 16 curveballs, 25 cutters and 1 2-seamer. That's drastically different than his typical pitch selection which usually involves over 50% 4-seamers and less than 1% cutters.

Good to see the site up and running I was hoping it wasnt just on my end last night lol. I didnt get to see the game But Im happy to hear Lackey had a good game. His last couple starts have been pretty good it sounds like. Hopefully he can keep it up. Yankees losing today put a smile on my face as well So far great day lol.
