Okay guys, sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean any harm.

Okay, so the Sox are coming off a strong 10-4 win. They are riding a 3 game winning streak going into this one.

Pitching matchup: Beckett (6-3, 2.20) vs. Lyles (0-3, 4.75)

This should be an easy one.

I'm looking forward to watching Lyles pitch, as he was the top Astros prospect coming into 2011, and BA ranked him 42nd overall.

But the Sox should pound him anyway, and Beckett should bounce back from his worst game of the year. Win, sweep, go home.

Navarro with the start at SS. Interesting. Is Sutton still with the team' date=' or did he get sent down?[/quote']

I think he's still there. Navarro got called up when Cameron was DFA'd.

Anyone else notice that Pedroia is on pace for the best WAR of his career thanks to his walk rate, OBP and great defense? If he hits for power in the second half he could be an 8 WAR player this year.

Let's get ready to play ball!

I would've enjoyed these last three games if the roof was open at Minute Maid Park.

Once again, I'm not going to post during the game and here's why:

Tuesday: I posted, Sox loss

Wednesday: I posted Sox loss

Thursday: I didn't post, Sox win

Friday: I didn't post, Sox win

Saturday: I didn't post, Sox win

Keep an eye on how many curves Beckett throws tonight. I think he may be dealing with finger "contusions".

This offense hasn't supported Beckett with those 10 Rs/game like they do with the others.

It's the rule, not the exception that hitters tend to struggle more against pitchers they haven't seen much of before.

The catcher just landed right on Youkilis' ankle. That's not good. It's clearly been bothering him for a while now; wouldn't be surprised to see a DL stint or at least a couple games off.

He'll have 4 days at the All Star break to rest.

They should be up 7-0.

If they win and BPEF comes back who makes the game thread tomorrow?
