A team is never as bad as it looks when it is going bad. The play in April was so far below this teams abilities. Similarly, a team is not as good as it looks when they are hot. I'll enjoy this as long as it lasts, but in 1978 we were steamrolling teams just like this too. The FO still has to keep building the pen, the bench and the bottom of the rotation.

 

In that regard, Jose Reyes is red hot. He would be an excellent fit.

No one is stopping you. I just find it sad how so many things are going right and people find the bad things to talk about. People like to bitch for the sake of bitching. So what if he has a higher OPS? Only reason that is happening is because Drew has walked more. Crawford has more hits, more Extra base hits, more runs scored, and more RBI's. Sure the OPS of Drew is a bit higher but that doesn't mean s*** when you aren't scoring runs or driving them in or doing anything. Even with Crawford's bad start he's been more valuable to the team and contributed more.

 

 

And the "he doesn't play everyday" excuse is lame. Playing 6 out of 7 days a week shouldn't keep a major leaguer from getting into a groove. The dude is just plain bad. His career could be done.

I can't believe that at this point we possibly dare to compare CC with JD Drew, is not even a fair exercise...

 

JD and Cameron should come every time from the bench every single game these days, and give the opportunity to our farms if we don't sign somebody else.
