Well said my freind! Did anyone seriously think we would come back last night' date=' if so you are flat out lying, that is our biggest comeback after six in years. I understand i'm annoying when I bitch and moan but the people who are overly optimistic no matter what are annoying as well.[/quote']

Word. In the end we're all fans of the same team, just with varying ways of looking at/dealing with things, and just have to put up with each other.

I understand that. Crawford wasn't hitting like a number 8 and Pedroia wasn't hitting like a number 2 but do we just forget about April? Yeah' date=' he's looked good in May but say Crawford was hitting 2 in NY the game he went 0-4 you all would've been ready to kill Francona and started saying how Crawfors needs to move back down. Honestly if anyone thinks that man earning 142 will bat 8 forever then they need a reality check. I agree it's something to be discussed but damn every game Crawford was hitting 8 people were behind the computer ranting. The time will come unfortunately it's not now. Not to long ago people disliked the fact Youk was hitting 4th. Then came the HR's and everyone was all cool with it again. You see how it goes? I don't think people need to overreact for EVERY move that doesn't please them.[/quote']

I never really had a problem with Crawford hitting 8th and I don't think he will be there forever nor should be be there for ever. I actually like what Orso and Remy have said about hitting him 5th and Ortiz 6th, don't even say that then we have back to back lefties because with such a lefty heavy lineup this is bound to happen.

PS - Darnell Mcdonald still sucks and if we are down late and he is up and Francona doesn't pinch hit Crawford I will not be happy

To bad I didn't say I expect everyone to be optimistic. I'm not the one who calls games in the 1st inning. That's the type of s*** I'm talking about. You guys do whatever you please. You want to rant all day be my guest I just feel like people should be called out on their nonsense. Just my 2 cents.

I'm also not always negative, if you look back to some games we lost like that extra inning game at Toronto I tried to be optimistic butyou shot me down when I said it was a good loss and we showed fight you said.

It doesn't matter you still end up with the same result. Actually losing in a close game hurts more.

Couple things

1- I never said I was always optimistic so that post falls flat on it's face

2- I never said you were always negative.

3- Your post even though you tried to be optimistic is still negative. You're implying we usually give up which is not the case...next point.

4- You can do whatever pleases you. Yeah the overreacting bothers me but I still have nothing on any of you. I still like all of you posters. I just felt that needed to be said. Besides this all started with my sarcasm that was meant to be a harmless joke.

5- Can we put this to rest already?

As far as Crawford sitting tonight, its not really a big deal. Britton is a lefty who's pitched pretty well this year so we sit Crawford and Drew (2 left handed bats) and bring in Macdonald and Cameron (2 right handed bats) to balance the lineup a little bit. I wouldnt be surprised to see Crawford pinch hit or run late in the game if its close.

To me' date=' the thing that's worse than the people who overreact and bitch and moan about the team are the people who bitch and moan about the people who bitch and moan. [/quote']

This. We're sports fans, we're going to be passionate. I've watched roughly 90% of the games in the last three seasons, and while I've been more optimistic some games than others, when it gets ugly, its hard not to lose our cool. When we're bitching about the team, it has no major impact, but when we turn on eachother for simply expressing frustation, that gets ugly.

I think we all lose or cool sometimes because this team was so hyped and we all know how good they can be and when they aren't that good it is frustrating. You're right we shouldn't be fighting with eachother we all love the Sox!!!

Interesting. Now we have Buchholz against Coke tomorrow (that should be a W) then Verlander/Beckett (if we had anyone other than Beckett on the mound i'd count that as a loss) and then Lester on the hill against the cubs on friday. Good oppertunity to get extend this winning streak to 6 or 7 games.

I'm still surprised that a lot of people who had been here for a while still didn't know the gamethread rules. I don't think I've ever made a gamethread in my time here and even I knew the rules. ;)

Dice-K to DL; Aceves in Red Sox rotation

Daisuke Matsuzaka will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained elbow tomorrow according to Terry Fracona. Righthander Michael Bowden was recalled from AAA Pawtucket.

The new rotation:

Wednesday vs. Detroit: Clay Buchholz

Thursday vs. Detroit: Josh Beckett

Friday vs. Chicago: Jon Lester

Saturday vs. Chicago: Alfredo Aceves

Sunday vs. Chicago: Tim Wakefield

No word yet when tonight's game will be made up. Meanwhile Baltimore will pitch Zach Britton against the Yankees tomorrow. Works out well in several ways for the Sox.

I like that Rotation, but i would sent Wake to BP and put Albers... And keep that way at least a couple of weeks and see how it works. For me, Lackey and D-K can stay @ DL all season long and give the opportunity to our farm to start games.
