Oh come on. Rarely will a team ever win when it's down 6-0. Especially after 5 innings.

I really didn't think we were going to win this game, I thought it was going to be like that shutout in Oakland.

What a great win, and now we're tied with the Yankees!

Given what he's going through off the field right now, I'm fine with him using the DL to take care of things and get his head back on straight for the rest of the year. Much better to put him on the DL than have him out there giving up 8 runs every start.

It's not just this game, though. Every time they are losing, everyone flips a s***. People just need to calm down.

They are not fighting with each other or engaging in flame wars like I have seen in past years in game threads. After a few more come from behind victories, they'll calm down.

I have mojo from this though, everytime I say we lose they win, i've said it the past four nights!

Couple things

- The Red Sox must dislike me. I mean honestly at least more than 75% of the time I go to take a shower or leave *they score. I even missed Salty's HR on Sunday. I always miss the rallies. I can always watch them again but it's not as fun. I was hoping they'd lose now you guys are going to expect me to miss games  Whatever if that's what it takes then I got to do what's best.

- RedSoxFaithful like I said everytime you say game is over in the 1st inning it bites you in the ass.

- I think after being down 6-0 and winning the game despite s*** hitting with RISP is huge. Those of you who constantly bitch can shut it for a while. We're not always going to have the lead so stop tripping everytime we're down runs. VA mentioned this earlier in the thread as I scanned through it but I just want to point that out again because at the end these post make you look bad.*

*I'm no angel either I also bitch but I don't take it to the extreme.

From now on we shall have a nickname for Adrian Gonzales. No more A-Gon, no more Gonzo, and no more Gonzilla. He shall have only one name and we must all go by this nickname. I now present to you...

A-God. He deserved it.

Agreed. Wakefield starts Tuesday. Then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday we have the Big 3. Then good news is that Dice-K's next start on Saturday coincides with the end of the world (May 21). The stars are aligning for a big winning streak here.

Crazy. I just came over here to say the exact same thing, that we're definitely the dog tonight, but after that, our next 3 should be W's.

I just really don't understand why we keep going with Wakefield for our spot starts when we have young guys who can contribute now more consistently than Wakefield does, they can keep us in the game, and the biggest thing - their performance will promote growth as a player for the future of the organization.

Andrew Miller - 7 GS, 2.35 ERA, high BB/9, but still - a 2.35 ERA in AAA is better than Wake.

Felix Doubront - 4 GS, 1.98 ERA

Alfredo Aceves - 2.60 ERA in MLB (Obviously out of the mix now after yesterday's game)

Tim Wakefield - 5.40 ERA

I really think that sometimes Francona just doesn't think. He just goes through the motions and doesn't actually say "Wait. Is this our best option?"

Tuesday's game should get rained out, so we should be spared the torture of Wakefield for another rotation turn. Hopefully, the next turn they use Aceves.
