Beckett. Just been outstanding. He's our ace right now.

Beckett. His performance might not have necessarily be significantly better than Lester's, but for him to have re-emerged as an elite pitcher is a real boost for a team that needed atleast one standout from its #3/4/5 pitchers.

I think Gonzo is the MVP thus far. He is leading the team in RBI's, hits, and Home runs. I don't know how he couldn't be the MVP.

Josh Beckett, he has been dealing all year and always gives us a chance to win. So great to see him pitching like this again

I literally clicked back and forth between Beckett and A-Gon 4 times. I ended up going with Beckett due to how much more we have gotten out of him than expected.

 

If he pitches like he did in 2010, we could easily be 14-22 or so.

Speaking of which, is anyone still heated that Sabathia somehow won the Cy Young over Beckett in 2007? Their numbers were nearly identical and Beckett had one more win. Then in the post season, Beckett goes 4-0 with a 1.20 ERA and a microscopic WHIP, while Sabathia goes 1-2 with an ERA of 8+?!?! Oh, and he led his team to a championship.

I voted for Josh Beckett but if I waited another few days to cast my vote it could easily have been Adrian Gonzalez. They've been the two star men so far this year.

Josh Beckett leads the AL in ERA (1.75), hits per nine innings (5.4) and is fourth in WHIP (0.896) and sixth in K's per nine innings (8.59).
