Nope, No makeup date for the contest has been announced. The Yankees and Twins will continue as scheduled for Thursday, a 1:05 p.m. ET start, but a doubleheader will not be played because both teams must travel for day games on Friday.

 

Girardi said that he plans to keep A.J. Burnett in line to start Thursday's matinee.

Burnett's mechanics were apparently overhauled by Rothschild. Seems like it is working a bit as he didnt walk a batter in spring training and only walked 1 in his first start. We'll see if it holds

Swisher broke Nishioka's leg. I haven't seen the play. Heyman suggested on Twitter that it was dirty, but apparently the Twins disagree. Just really unfortunate.

Wow that sucks, Nishioka looked like he was going to be a pretty good player. I haven't seen the player either but it doesn't sound like it was dirty from what I've read. It sounds like he's going to be out at least a month.

Immagine if you guys lost 2 out 3 to this team? If I was a Yankee fan I'd demand a sweep not say it would be amazing. If Cleveland could do it with apparent ease then theres no reason a contending team like the Yankees shouldn't.

It's baseball. Sweeps are rare even against the worst of teams, and the sox are one of the best teams in baseball. They're just a little snakebit right now

Despite his double yesterday, Jeter really needs to be dropped in the order. The 1-0 pitch from Lackey was begging to be crushed, and Jeter couldn't even get a piece of it.
