Get it ready' date=' he does this s*** all the time. Pick a convenient piece of your post, tear it apart then completely disregard the rest of the post that explains the initial part. He's a joke[/quote']

And you're just noticing this now?

Know, I have known it for a LOOONG time, just that his recent fights have been with ORS and pretty much everyone else on the site. See, I have a reason for people to fight with me. I'm a Yankee fan, and I am biased, therefore I am inherently easy to fight with on this site. But what's his reason? He fights with everyone cause, well, he's a douche.

The truth was bound to come straight from the horse's mouth eventually. First non-chartable post you've made in a long time. Kudos. You have just bumped my respect for you significantly.

I'm wondering who you're referring to here though, since i don't argue with ORS, ORS obviously doesn't argue with ORS, and Emmz is a she.

I'm also not surprised Palodios agrees with you about stuff, seeing as you share similar posting styles, in fact, if you two rooted for the same team, you'd probably be besties. Why not invite him to the Dark Side? B)

Similar posting styles? Yawn. You can do better than that, can't you?

You actually do. I'm not kidding.

You both make an initial point, stray away from it once proven wrong, then whine about how your "initial point" or "overall point" was not addressed.

Par for the course.

You actually wasted 3 minutes of your life just to google "Truth" and then inserting the image in your post? Jesus christ.

It was the first image that came up, but apparently it wasn't the first the first one that came up for you, and you wasted three minutes of your life trying to prove i wasted three minutes looking it up. Then again, you do enjoy practicing the art of "trolling" so you wouldn't consider that wasted time now would you?

Just because you're the most popular user on the board, and will have people tell you that you've won an argument doesn't mean you did. Seriously, I'm going to point to Justin Bieber on this one. All signs point to Beltre hitting .850, paying 10 million for Ordonez or paying 10 million for Beltran will still affect the team's finances the same way, and Lowrie was clearly healthier than Scutaro at the end of last season.

Posted

Well ok, whatever you say. I'm sorry you don't like it when i try to maintain a level of "reality" when making my arguments.

Anyways, that doesn't touch on my original point (heh) which is the "moving screen" strategy that you, Jacko and Doiji are so adept at using.

So next time one of your points gets rebuked and you switch to save face, if the phrase "Moving screen" comes up it means you're doing it again.

Oh, and it's not the same to include a player in a trade to lower another player's contract value than trading that player to fill a need and clearing actual payroll space. It's simply not that difficult to comprehend.

Posted

Except that the Mets would be assumed to eat part of Beltran's salary, and trading Dice-k was never a mandatory in that situation, just a suggestion. I clearly brought this up several times, and you kept ignoring it.

And the next time someone backs you up in an argument, with a one-liner like "Let's get some popcorn" the phrase "Justin Bieber" will come up. Deal?

I believe that I was the one that made the popcorn comment, and I was referring to watching the duel between Jacko and ORS. I wasn't taking sides or backing anyone.

It was just an example.

My god you are a dumbass. I said they could put up similar production IF THEY SUSTAINED THE SAME AMOUNT OF INJURIES AS LAST SEASON. I said that if healthy, they should reclaim the top spot in terms of runs scored in a season.

Reading is very fundamental ORS. Very, very fundamental

O RLY?

For shits and giggles....

Then, the original post that I responded to.....

Offensively speaking, you go from starting Cameron, Beltre, and Victor Martinez to starting Crawford, AdGon and Saltalamacchia. Your offense takes a bit of a hit "when healthy" because while Crawford and AdGon adequately replace VMart and Beltre, the loss of Cameron in the lineup compared to the addition of Salty takes you down a peg (unless he finally realizes his potential). Your defense also takes a bit of a hit. Cameron and Crawford are similar defensively, so the OF is a wash, and if it moves Ells back to CF, then you weaken the D a little in CF and strengthen it in LF. By moving Salty into the C spot and losing VMart, you essentially have a wash there with VMart being more experienced in playcalling and a better blocker, while Salty has the better arm. In the IF, you move Youk to 3b, where he is an unknown in terms of UZR, but likely nowhere near Beltre, and you replace him at 1b with AdGon, both GG defenders. The biggest offensive addition is the fact that Youk and Pedroia should be healthy. Together, they missed 120 games last year. Plus Ellsbury should be healthy, although the fact that he is dealing with pain still makes Cameron's role in Boston a lot more important. Regardless, from an "on paper" perspective, the sox lineup is a little weaker in projection that what a combo of projection and production from 2010 was. This means, project out Youk, Pedey, Cameron, and Ellsbury while taking VMart and Beltre at their stats for 2010. But, the likelihood of losing 4 starters for the stretch run is very very low. Regardless, the sox lineup should mash and their D takes a minor hit depending on how Youk takes to 3rd.

What now?

Yup, moving screen indeed.

You can conclude that the Sox have upgraded their lineup, and don't take a hit anywhere. No matter how some try to spin it.

What now, I stand by that "when healthy" comment. The thing is, you werent healthy last yr. You should be this year, so you should see a major increase in offense. Once again, reading, it is fundamental

If my reading comprehension is correct: If our offense is healthy, we are taken down a peg by salty replacing cameron, but since our offense IS healthy, we should see an increase in it.

wat.

What you wrote reads like you are saying that if the 2011 squad is healthy, then it would still be a lesser offense than the actual offense from 2010.

Once again, reading, it is fundamental

Jacko is scared to death. The Red Sox just signed two young total studs for 7 and 8 years. The Yankees have 3 starting pitchers, an aging lineup and they are dumpster diving.

Who'd we sign for 8 years?

Posted
Rumor sez we've agreed in principle to a 7 year extension to Gonzo starting in 2012, so counting the 2011 season in which we already have his rights, that's 8. Not the greatest math, but the logic checks out at least.

Dumpster diving served on a platter to the fans and called plan B. Haha, georgie would've fired your ass Cashman. Now empty you farm system for Greinke and watch him implode.

And you have a picture of Theo f***ing Epstein in a superman outfit as your pic? And you're not being ironic? What the hell is the world coming to?

Despite all the lame-ass squabbling going on here, I'm in a great mood about the Sox. I don't care what Jacko thinks (or pretends to think to console himself). They added two of the most dangerous offensive weapons in baseball to a team that already had offensive weapons like Ellsbury, Pedroia, Youkilis and Ortiz. They have two SPs in their mid 20's who are just hitting their prime but who already have among the best stuff in the league. They have 3 veteran SPs who all have big game experience and who have, at one time or another, achieved on the biggest stage. They aren't reclaimation projects--they are highly paid pitchers who have shown the ability to succeed. Nobody would be shocked if any of those 3 had an excellent year.

There's a lot to be optimistic about.
