Explain. Jimmer has the quickest release of any NBA player. He's a good passer.

I wouldn't get too attached' date=' he'd just leave you in 6 years for greener pastures.[/quote']

Maybe but he will get a NBA championship to cleveland

Ummmmm.....what?!? Jimmer can clone himself 4 times and all of them could play for the Cavaliers and they still wouldn't win a championship. I'm sorry dude, but drafting Jimmer is like using Tylenol for a broken leg.

Jimmer could play the 2 with Baron at the 1. JJ Hickson at the 4. Get a 5 in the 1st round somewhere. Someone at the 3 maybe eyenga. Samardo Samuels will come up huge in the future

That'd make the Cavs better, but that still wouldn't make them a championship team. Not with the Celtics, Bulls, Magic, Heat, and maybe even the Hawks and Knicks in the way. And then factor in the Western Teams like the Lakers, Mavs, Spurs, etc.

And don't forget that unlike most other sports, the worst team in the NBA isn't guaranteed the number 1 pick (not like Jimmer will go first) so who knows if the Cavs will ever get Jimmer. Then factor in that even if the Cavs get Jimmer, or someone of equal talent, the Cavs are still a LONG way from winning a championship.

Is this a joke - he's going to be a Eddie House type. He lacks the athleticism of the average NBA point guard. His ball handling ability is efficient but lacks flash. Lacks the athleticism to finish at the rim. Yeah, his speed is very good at the college level, but no way will it be good enough against NBA level athletes. His lateral foot speed be a liability and I don't think he will be able to create shots for himself against longer and more athletic players

Maybe it's because we have the same name' date=' but I'd give Jared Sullinger a look early.[/quote']

Definetely a top 5 pick. A few things which would scare me from using the #1 pick on him is that he does not possess elite athleticism and is prone to having his shot blocked and has some difficulty with longer athletic defenders. Does not run the floor extremely well. Also, he has shown the ability, but needs to improve consistency of mid-range jumper and his lateral quickness.

Williams is the easy pick for me. He possesses sound footwork and fundamentals when dealing in the paint. One of his best assets revolves around his high offensive awareness level- he times his cuts in the paint in rhythm with his point guard and the ball movement around him. He uses pump fakes better than anyone and positions his body efficiently when going up for a layup or dunk under the rim. With his back to the basket, he uses his strength, along with long and efficient drop steps to create separation where he can score on 10 foot turn around jumpers and touch hooks. He is capable of facing up, where he can attack by putting the ball on the floor. This year, he only averaged 2.5 personal fouls per game which just shows his high defensive IQ and understanding of defensive positioning.

I do think a sleeper pick could be Kyrie Iriving if he declares - and I think he will. Yeah he's been injured but he is a “true” PG with a great feel for the game and is a charismatic player with the imagination and mindset to become a standout PG at the NBA level. The NBA game has gone the way of point guards and having a true PG gives a team such an edge. Irving is viewed as a true point guard with the potential to be just a notch below the games elite’s (Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, Chris Paul). Great vision and passing skills … Great burst. Has the blow by speed to get past defenders off the dribble. Good decision maker. Looks to make the right play instead of always trying to dazzle. Excellent shooter with the ability to get shots within the flow of the offense. Jumpshot has great form. Has range out to NBA three and just needs time to gain consistency on it

Yeah, I like Sullinger a lot, he's who I want the Wizards to draft.

Marshon Brooks better get top 5 consideration. He's scored like woah on a s***** team. 40th pick is ridiculous for the league's 2nd highest scorer, especially with that kid's energy.

But then again, the last time I was this deadset sure on a player I've seen in person was Thabeet. Ohhh snap.

In all fairness, Thabeet has pretty good per 36 minute stats. Doesn't have any endurance, though. I wasn't all that big on Thabeet because he was flagged as a very raw talent. He has all of the physical skills, he's just not even close to being a finished product, maybe never will be.

The last player I thought was a sure thing was CP3. He just had all the physical talent, plus he was very NBA-ready skillwise.

Keep in mind that I'm a Uconn fan, and I would have told you not to go so high on Thabeet. Top 5 pick, sure, but not 2nd.

This is the time of year when I feel ashamed to be an Illinois fan/student.

Up by 12 then didn't make a field goal in the last like 9 minutes of the game. Solid effort.
